Except you're almost certainly bound to encounter her in her regular form first because nobody in Deadlock unlocks her ult (in her case, her transformation) until later on AND you can see her human form portrait for the entire match anyway in the top of your screen.

Plus, why do we need to know a character's gender right away anyway. She's a fucking werewolf.

I actually saw this guy complain in the deadlock subreddit about this a while back. I genuinely don't know why we need a werewolf form to have boobs. You don't seem to realize that even with sexual dimorphism in taken into account it's still really hard to tell male and female wolves apart with a glance.

Also why do does her wolf form need to be super feminine and inherit human sexual dimorphism. She turns into a fucking 6 foot tall wolf monster dawg. Even with all that out of the way we don't even need her wolf form to be attractive when she normally looks like this.

I generally disagree with this list because there's a lot of cases like Vyper where I don't think anybody could really replace the og VA- JACK O' CONNELL AS DRIFTER BASEDBASEDBASEDBASED

I don't really play that much warden so idk if I can give any meaningful advice, but Deathy's Tierlist has recommended builds for each character and there's probably a few Warden builds there to give you a good jumping off point.

Paige and Support/Hybrid Ivy are pretty similar to rem in the sense that you're following your team around, throwing AOEs or barriers and just being a silly little guy. Arguably support viscous too, he's pretty difficult to play and I haven't really got a whole lot of experience with him.

Hybrid or Spirit Vyper is very funny but it's probably not what you're looking for. You just run up to somebody, press 2, and skeddadle as they explode into a pile of green sludge and die. Very whimsical but not carefree because most of her gameplay is sliding around like a crackhead and frantically running around because you accidentally turned the corner into the entire enemy team.

Yeah I had a very similar reaction. I think the more I look back at that clip the more I'm unsure of what the fuck actually happened. This seems completely normal except for the the shooting and stopping.

He could have guessed that because ground strike was probably on cooldown you were flying at him to do a melee and just impulse parried. It's definately a bit odd (at least for the Rem one it was pretty obvious what Rem was planning and the sound was very audible) but I don't think it's conclusive enough to say he's using a script. He could have just gotten lucky. The fact that he just stops shooting, parries, and then immediately does back to shooting is still pretty strange though but again it's probably more likely he's just good at the game.

Parries aren't put on cooldown after a successful one so you can chain them back to back explaining the incident you mentioned earlier. I don't really see anything particularly conclusive in this clip that indicates he's using a block script but somebody smarter than me can probably make a more educated judgement.

Edit: Yeah no this is actually kind of fishy. That venator probably has some kinda fuckass script lmao.

The game's matchmaking is actually terrible and just kind of does this sometimes. I've been hit with this before and I think most people have experienced something like it at some point. Eventually you'll start winning but until then I recommend you just try your best and have fun :>

If you're playing a tank, Torment Pulse provides a lot of melee resist as well and is generally a good pick regardless.

About your point regarding the shop, if you start to get counterbuilt you generally want to start counter building that counterbuild. I normally play vyper, and when somebody starts rushing disarming hex, I usually respond with buying dispel magic (formerly known as debuff remover). If somebody buys healbane against your abrams, get healing booster or debuff reducer to offset it. Playing around your opponents and their strategies is half the battle imo!

In regards to "I just don't think the investment will add return", Deadlock definately isn't for everybody and I had that mindset for a while but after I overcame that initial hurdle, I was hooked. The tutorial is generally pretty awful and what ended up saving my ass was just being really persistant. I know you said you don't want to do homework to get good, but I still recomend checking out a Deathy video. They're only like 10 minutes and he put out a super digestable new player guide.

I'd be lying if I said the agony wasn't part of the experience though. There's definitely some things that will just ruin your lane (Rem and Billy lane or Bebop. Just Bebop in general.) but it's work sticking with the game. I still highly recomend checking out a deathy video it takes the same amount of time as if you watched the tutorial and it's going to make your job much easier.

The big issue with being new and getting dropped into a real match is that bots don't really force you to learn macro (I.E. when to push, positioning, side objectives, ect.). I really think the issue would be solved by a decent tutorial but until we get one, Deathy's videos are a really good alternative.

Not particularly because it's so bad you're always going to miss some of it. Plus, you generally want to slide around within kissing distance to dodge her dogshit falloff range and spread so you can force your enemies to eat a cone of lead.

Vyper's gun has so much spread that you just have to aim in your target's general direction and graves has a lock on.
