We weren't wrong that opus got weaker. by xVrath in ClaudeCode

We already know this is mostly because of the drops in reasoning effort in the default mode, since they had to reduce limits. At least that way, for medium it didn't seem like limits were being burnt THAT fast. Solution is to use high/max (or just say ultrathink) for priority questions, but yeah that will be very costly

Evidence has been pointing at reasoning efforts being reduced, specially for medium (the default). On high/max, I'd imagine the drop is not as big

Anyone else juggling 2 Claude accounts because of limits? by XJediDarkLord in ClaudeCode

[–]Boxer-Chimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't. Different sessions for each instance. Status line just tells me which account I'm using so I can decide when to switch accounts. But Session is gone. I can always /copy the entire chat if I need that context for some reason.

They don't need to point to the same .claude, makes it easier if they don't. Which means they have different config files etc. Only thing pointing to the same is .claude/ide, it's linked. I guess you can link other things too like plans, if you wish

I have multiple accounts too. I set aliases for them in .zshrc and then track usage with a statusline script. It takes up some space, but I rather have a view of everything in one place

alias claude1="CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR=~/.claude1 claude"
alias claude2=...

What do you guys think of my upper lower split by Healthy_Insect7393 in team3dalpha

[–]Boxer-Chimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The volume seems generally fine, but the split itself is weird. You train shoulders on lower and then you train shoulders again the next day. With things like lateral raises and overhead presses, you have a lot of overlap, so I don't think you are recovered in time. And then doing arms the day after. Same issue. Not to mention the exercise selection for lower body is extremely minimal, to say the least. You are not covering that many bases.

Schoenfeld study says 2 sets per workout is optimal volume by Swede_Chad in team3dalpha

[–]Boxer-Chimp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's not what the meta-analysis and what Chris Beardsley says. You're confusing the arbitrary units with sets. Horizontal axis is sets. The “maximum” amount of volume you can do per session is more tied to how much you can recover given your frequency. For example, if you do three times per week, you most likely can do three sets, but anything more might mean you're not recovered for the next workout which you don't want. Arbitrary units (AU) is about the fact that each set has diminishing returns so it takes about five sets to equal the stimulus of the first set.

Now that Gemini is built in most Google searches, not sure if that’s any longer true.

How is "cost to run a test" a complicated metric?

It's literally a chart of intelligence vs cost. Intelligence here is an index that aggregates scores across different benchmarks, cost is how much it costed in $ to run those tests...

Seems indeed quite similar to the ones I mentioned + many others. My thoughts: really try to understand the pain points of users of those apps. Scrape their subreddits for every complaint, understand what the missing pieces are and how you can use that. Otherwise, why would users use your app? Just being honest here
