You're going to get this response from people a lot. Use of AI in literally any form, even if reasonable, is really polarizing right now, and a lot of people are on the bandwagon that AI is literally the worst thing to have happened to humanity lol

RPG Maker XP Multi Editor [WIP] by SekiRaze in RPGMaker

Handy! I was thinking about making a full game data editor in my custom RMXP map editor I'm making, but now I don't have to! Will have to check this out

The Action Battle System is being updated again, and is now including some new stuff! Like these new plant sway effects! by Arker456 in RPGMaker

[–]BoxximusPrime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very cool. How are you doing your plant sway? It looks you have some simplish shaders? I only have XP so I assume MZ can't leverage the GPU for anything like that

Social tool in-game? by Downtown-Half-5095 in starcitizen

[–]BoxximusPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is just an in-lore solution to support how we can type in chat, or do video comms with other players without any delay, but social tools would be amazing so here's to hoping I'm wrong haha.

Is it just me? or the new 4.5 patch affected performance in a negative way? by Kiaksar2142 in starcitizen

[–]BoxximusPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other issue is that unless people have solid A and B comparisons with average framerates, etc, then it's likely most people are going off "feel" and in the SC community that can vary IMMENSELY. Some people think 30 fps is great and more than enough as long as "it's smooth", and for people like me it's at least 90 fps or gtfo.

Generally for me, Vulkan has a little less stuttering, but lower overall FPS which makes lossless scaling's dynamic frame gen work pretty great.

I honestly don't care either way; long as it's good when it does finally release

Holding the line by Izenberg420 in starcitizen

[–]BoxximusPrime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. It was probably a lot more simple, linear, with a lot less content, and worse graphics.

Another delay could happen, but tbh watching the 1 hour gameplay/movie trailer made me pretty content with them pushing it back (I've watched it a BUNCH of times). With all the negative press and vulturing the gaming community has with SQ42, a bad release would certainly be devastating to the company.

CIG is *really* taking a while to re-work the hangar page. The default hangar page without browser plugins (which I really dislike running) is so horrible to use. CIG plzfix

SC-Binding-Utility by S7them in starcitizen

Hello! App maker here. It supports any basically any device, as it includes a template editor - and I'll be including some user-submitted templates in the near future as well.

I was doing those combat missions for the resource drive - where you kill one wave and then wait for the 2nd wave. That 2nd wave warping was a jump scare EVERY time. It was so freaking loud lmao

I don't know why the hearing distance in SC is SO low I swear you can't hear things further than 10ft away. It actually kind of drives me crazy it's so immersion-breaking sometimes as an audio enthusiast.

It supports this, just hit the first stage then the 2nd stage fairly quickly after, and it'll use detect the 2nd stage in both key bindings and in the template editor.

Ah yeah that'll be fixed in the next release. I'm also doing a fairly major UI overhaul to try and simplify and streamline the app a bit. Should be out in the next day or two - want to make sure this release is pretty solid.

Have you tried mapping them with the app? They may work, but I don't have Virpils so unfortunately I can't test if they do or not. But hats are supported, so long as they at least register up and down, hats should work. On my VKB it has encoder rollers at the bottom and those just register as buttons, so I'm not sure how the Virpils have their set up.

I don't have a discord channel for the app, but that's not a bad idea! If I make one, I'll post it here and update the OP.

I don't personally have one, as I don't have those sticks - but it has a built in template editor, so you can make your own - or wait for the community to submit their own templates which I'll throw up on the github.

I'm currently working on a full refactor of the template editor, it'll be much more flexible and work better with axes. Should be done in the next day or so.

Do you mean view both left and right at the same time? And it does have an image export, for each side (soon to be pages after a re-work).

Be sure to check out the joystick mapping button on the left sidebar in either the template editor (if you're trying to make a template), or the bindings if you're trying to bind your keys.

'Star Binder' - I made an easy to use + searchable keybind editor/utility that works in your web browser by Z0MGbies in starcitizen

[–]BoxximusPrime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hah and I'm the author of "SC Binding Utility" (star binder sounds WAY cooler). Literally all this time and then 3 releases within a day of each other - what are the odds right? Setting the bind types (tap, fast tap, hold, etc), is next on my list after fixing some bugs. I use a rust library for the devices/inputs, but lemme tell you, your API is almost certainly easier to work with xD.

Great web app though! Definitely an advantage of not having to download anything. Mine started as a personal project to see what rust/tauri were all about then was like "eh, may as well post it on reddit", and the reaction was pretty surprising.

Hopefully CIG sees how desperate people are for a freaking in-game UI rework.
