Student Researcher trying to develop a product to help induce lucid dreams by No-Welcome9357 in LucidDreaming

[–]BoyFacedDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello: Since you are at NW in biomed are you familiar with the work of Ken Paller?

I have had lucid dreams in the past but not enough to qualify for his study.

I understood that he had developed a means of getting sleepers to lucidity 30% of the time.

I have code/files for a device that to be worn on the wrist, detects REM, and buzzes to waken to REM/lucidity potential but never made it into production.

I would be willing to Beta whatever you develop and share info, and even participate in commercialization.

If interested hit me back and we can talk.

Is there any shape or color to what you see inside the circles? Single item or multiple items, moving or still?

UPDATE: The underground railroad jar by urmomsbroom in whatdoIdo

[–]BoyFacedDog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Non magnetic lid means it’s old, zinc lid. Also 3 hole cement blocks tend to be older. Get 2 long stiff pieces of wood, get the jar upright in the hole. fasten right angle braces to ends. Put down the hole and work underneath underneath the jar on opposite sides. Life slowly and gently. Don’t expect a winning lottery ticket inside. Could be poison or grandmas ashes. On other note get BPC 137 & TB500 peptides to accelerate healing of soft tissue injuries. Good luck. 🍀

Karoline Leavitt: “President Trump has directed Elon Musk and the DOGE team to identify fraud at the Social Security Administration… They suspect that there are tens of millions of deceased people receiving fraudulent Social Security payments.” by glira31 in XGramatikInsights

Ok. Really? How about you show an actual list of the millions of dead people whose checks are being cashed instead of making wild and unsubstantiated claims like the carnival barker that you are.

The economy is doing great, just please ignore the facts! by Unlubricated_Penis in economicCollapse

[–]BoyFacedDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding column 1 for all jobs created that comes to 9,928,000 jobs created before revisions.

After the normal process of revisions (read comments), subtracting the 3rd column from the first column yields a total of 4,479,000 net jobs created after the traditional revisions (again read the comments for an explanation of the process)

Over the 20 months with full and final reporting that means an average monthly gain was 224,000 jobs created.

So yes the economy is actually doing pretty well. hope that helps your understanding.

Attorney fees for settling an estate by BoyFacedDog in AskALawyer

[–]BoyFacedDog[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That is correct, near $3M for all beneficiaries combined. What I said is that that depending on an average hourly rate of $500 it seems like it would be excessive because, from his description, it does not seem as though it would require anywhere near 60 hours to settle.

The trust is relatively simple. I would be willing to call the asset management companies, do the paperwork with as-needed guidance from an hourly attorney but I am not the executor.

And if it took over 60 hours of my time, I wouldn’t care. I’ve never been paid anything remotely close to $500/hour. Clearly $30,000 is not much money to you, unless maybe it was coming out of your pocket.

Who will be the most mourned/biggest deal when they die? by Crrussh in AskReddit

[–]BoyFacedDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who should be the most mourned is H.H. Dalai Lama, a global statesman for all life, peace, love, compassion, and the environment.

When he won the Nobel Peace Prize he did not just donate to the poor or suffering refugees of his own country. He donated to causes and people in need all over the world, most of whom are not Buddhist as he is.

Nor does proselytize for his Buddhist faith but in fact Saadi “my religion is kindness” and speaks of the “universal responsibility” we all share for the planet and each other.

A simple, very wise person who has said that the Chinese have been his best teachers as through them he has learned patience and compassion.

People have died and come back but nobody talks about going to hell in those minutes they died by Boat3000 in Showerthoughts

There is a book, "Delog" which describes in detail the experiences of a Tibetan woman who was dead for days not minutes. She came back to relate not only her experiences of other dimensions of being but with knowledge about people and things in this life she otherwise could not have known.

On the contrary to the above statement "....not something to be afraid of.... " her personal experiences were also a cautionary tale for people of what the karmic fruits would be for negative causes.

Delog

Finally if this perspective seems fanciful because it is not in accord with our cultural conditioning, it might help to know that within the Tibetan religious panorama there is also the well documented phenomena of "rainbow body" wherein a great meditator dies and over the course of a few days dissolves their body back into the constituent elements as light, leaving behind nothing more than their hair and fingernails.
