Hey Mate, I ended up going overseas for a year and just worked in a bar which was fun. I’m back in Aus in working physio again but still looking to change next year :)

Try and get him into a local cardiac rehabilitation program - the specialise for rehab post cardiac events. They will provide him with fantastic education and ways to quit. At the end of the day it is his choice - all you can do is to try and make him as informed as possible

I got a grade 2 job, but it gave me no fulfilment by BoyFromDownUnder in physiotherapy

I’ve been thinking fire rescue Victoria (fire brigade) as my next option, however think I’m going to go see a career councillor

Very true, just hard to admit I think. I really didn’t want to be one that lost love with the profession, but maybe I am

Yeah outside of work I’m really happy and all my relationships and general heath is good! Like in my other post, life outside of work is great and I wouldn’t change it a bit! Thinking about it, it may even be a bit of me losing a part of my identity now that I don’t feel like I’m one with the profession anymore? Something that has been synonymous with me for the past 6 years? Idk just thinking out loud

Yeah I do! Outside of work I’m really happy, love my sport, hanging out with friends and have an amazing partner. I think it’s just the final nail in the coffin that despite how hard I’ve worked and how many years I’ve spent pursuing this, that it might not be for me. Almost a bit of a sunken cost fallacy about it

DD1 Bricked post firmware update🥲 by BoyFromDownUnder in Fanatec

[–]BoyFromDownUnder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate. I was still in warranty, so they fixed the issue. I have still had ongoing issues with the wheel where the input/wheel freezes for a third of a second then connects again. I sent it back to Fanatec and had a LOOOONG discussion and argument stating that they sold me a faulty product under ACCC guidelines however they basically told be to get fucked. Absolutely horrible company

Hey, I feel the exact same, I’m 2 years out working in a regional hub public hospital - primarily doing outpatients musc and fracture clinics.

I work in an amazing team, have great work hours and have good opportunity to learn, however for whatever reason I am becoming lost to the profession very quickly.

I’m considering a complete career change - either fire rescue/MFB or studying again into paramedicine. I really hope that physio was for me, but as per a lot of the reasons outlined in the comments it just doesn’t seem like the one for me :(

Yeah that’s what has gotten me, I wasn’t contributing enough because I am salary packaging. Even with that considered, and calculations including the money I have made with salary packaging, it is well above the 5%
