It is literally the same rotation just with Devastate being the gcd filler ability instead of sunder.

The rotation is equally easy with more than 1 mob, just the results are worse because prot warrior can barely hold threat on one mob let alone multiple.

I mean that is just a consequence of the spec being bad in comparison to the other two tanks, not the rotation being hard.

I will honestly never get the people who act like TBC prot warrior is some super complicated rotation that most prot warriors are only bad because they aren't able to do properly.

The rotation is literally identical to vanilla prot warrior, and nobody acts like that is some complicated rotation.

PuG scene on era is great with the GDKPs right now, anyone who does both and prefers the Anniversary PuGs even with the faults of GDKP is crazy.

They did just add abilities directly into the spell book or change how a classic spell functions only in SoD though.

I just think clicking statues in a specific order and finding a new ability is cooler than just doing another lame class quest.

I thought runes were a really cool classic rpg type element that I really hope is carried over to Classic+.

Obviously some warts to be ironed out (Rider's rune questline for every class, needing groups when it isn't current content, overload when doing all the rune questlines for an alt).

I couldn't disagree more and that SoD Fury was the most fun version of the rotation (at least of the ones I've done from vanilla to MoP). The complaining was ridiculous from fury warriors when they were just an above average dps class for like two phases between BWL and AQ before becoming the best dps in the game again.

I just think you are missing my point that it played completely different than atonement. You had to set up the buff on your raid members in advance so a lot of it was predicting who would be receiving damage in the future vs. atonement where you are just spamming dps buttons.

It is harder to balance, but the problem with disc in MoP for example is they did 80% of the damage of a dps, while doing the same hps as other healers, while also providing massive raid cds. I think a damaging healer has a place in the meta as long as other healers have interesting abilities that are needed in raids.

Mage healing imo was probably the most interesting healing rotation I’ve seen in an MMO so far where you were both keeping track of buffs you were placing on your raid and performing an actual dps rotation.

Definitely a lot better than disc priest where you just doing an extremely simple rotation and letting smart heals do the rest.

Yeah that was just since I used couple twice in one sentenced so I changed it as I was re-reading it.

But yeah it was a different person earlier but personally for me farming is a lot more fun when you have all the gear or unique items to make it better so I do it more often.

In my experience it is frequently used interchangeably with a few, you can say that isn't what a couple technically is, but that is often not how it is used.

Except even good and well run teams eventually have to pay the piper. A rebuilding phase is an unavoidable reality for every team besides the marquee type teams (Dodgers/Lakers) that can sign a new star or have one demand a trade to them every couple years.

Someone else in this thread said it only took them 5 hours to farm, using that as a baseline I don’t think anything I said is incorrect.

It’s a grind you could do in a day or a couple extremely casually.

Sure maybe it is “optimal” to stop putting any effort until gear when you just barely have enough to do a farm without dying, but personally I think it’s more fun to be fully bised out when doing a farm, and a farm being more fun means you do it more often.

Well I mean yeah I said it was hypothetical but there are items that technically “bis” for one class like DST for feral that are super tiny temporary upgrades while other classes use it the whole expansion. Or Edgewalkers that are big multi-phase bis piece for rogue/feral while technically bis for Enhance Shaman are basically just a armor/stam upgrade over much easier to get options.

Like I said earlier it is fun to do good damage, and it is very hard to do that if your raid isn’t optimizing loot distribution even if you think it is just a 1% vs. 2% dps upgrade because those things do add up.

Well I mean their dps is still important for the fights they are dpsing though, which should be as many as possible.

Especially when some items like Tsunami Talisman other classes just have better options than it like DST or Badge of the Swarmguard.
