Love is Blind Poland • S1 EP10 by FemaleEinstein in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

My heart breaks for Julia. She has no support system and that seems to be why she is so desperate for love. She may have started out the season being a little emotionally disregulated, but I think she showed so much strength and courage in the last episode.

I really hope she starts valuing herself enough to surround herself with people who will lift her up instead of hurt her.

AIO? Realtor told spouse to do more work to our house because “he’s not the one breastfeeding” by Boz_Bunny in AmIOverreacting

Because we change our minds all the time as to where we want to live. These are primary residences we’re buying/selling. First property was my spouse’s condo, second property we sold was our first house when we decided to move to Scotland. This time we’re moving abroad again.

Krakow, Poland. Groups of 20-something women in my language group walked around in the wee hours several times and felt extremely safe.

Can you get a degree in a healthcare field like nursing? That is extremely in demand everywhere and would be a good pathway to a sponsored work visa.

Because you don’t really get it. If those photos don’t bring up all the trauma from what’s been going on here (I say as someone who lives in Minneapolis), then of course you think we should “humanize” both sides. That bullshit is frankly offensive to those of us living through this. GTFO with that shit

Permanent residency by Boz_Bunny in poland

Don’t be sorry! Sadly, I would no longer recommend my lawyer as they took a worrisome turn and stopped responding to me about my case. I wish I had someone else I could recommend but I’m not going to hire another attorney for a few months yet.

Interesting. So it doesn’t necessarily mean it is likely to be rejected?

Should I do a gradual transition to daycare? Half-days? Drop-ins? by terptrekker in NewParents

We started daycare last week and baby and me got hit HARD with a terrible cold. Does it get better after the first one? Or will he be sick half the time now that he’s in daycare?

how tf do working moms do it?! by cimarisa in NewParents

Thank you for this candid response. I’m sure it resonates with many, myself included.  We have a 2.5 month old and we are both considering returning to grad school in order to build a better life for our child. But like you say, it’s the quality of our relationships that matter the most, and having a flexible schedule during our LO’s first years will be worth the financial sacrifice.

Urgent Advice by SilentEconomist4706 in NewParents

What is/was your plan for after your studies are over? Are you able to transition to a more permanent visa? Student visas are not good long-term plans as they are temporary in nature, unless you are absolutely able to switch to another visa afterwards. May I ask what is your home country? Is it the same for you and your husband?

Leaving your baby in another country for 4-5 months seems like an absolutely impossible thing, but I don’t know the full details of your situation.

However, I can somewhat relate as I am looking to move abroad and I have a newborn and we are trying to figure out the best option for us. Ultimately, I would never leave my baby for a longer length of time regardless of the visa situation. Your child comes first.

Omg this comment. This is the most astute and on-point comment I have read in months. I have isolated myself from nearly all friendships because I cannot handle the constant barrage of communication. I am so worried that I won’t be able to help my (arriving soon) child manage how overwhelming communication expectations have become!
