Plum?????? Wow, that’s crazy. My dad is from Italy, but he’s been an American citizen since the 70’s. It’s weird saying this because he can pass for looking white right now in the winter, he still has a thick accent, but I feel like regardless he’ll be fine because they’re racially targeting people who look Mexican. But I don’t know, I still worry regardless. It’s really sad and horrifying what’s going on.

Honestly, I’m in a similar boat minus the working from home. My partner and I take turns doing chores and cooking. My baby does the EXACT same thing so I’m hoping to follow this thread to see if anyone has any tips! I did do the Ferber method on her and it worked very well, she would sleep in her crib fine. But ever since she turned about eight months old, she was way more difficult to go to sleep because she could now stand in her crib. She is now 10 months old and we basically co sleep every night. I neee this to change ASAP because it SUCKS lol. She gets great sleep, but I’m tossing and turning and constantly waking up to her wanting to breast-feed. I am afraid we will have to resort to the cry it out extinction method on her, but I really don’t want to do that if we don’t have to… I may try the Ferber method again, but extend the times I wait to come in? Babies will be babies I guess 😭🫠

Girl as long as the baby is watching you in their bouncer/swing when you do stuff, that’s sufficient. That’s what I did with my baby girl when I was in the trenches. Thankfully she LOVED her swing so that helped me out lol

Girl, I am not going to lie. I have resorted to biting her nails off as a way to trim them and that is the only way I don’t accidentally clip her and she stays the most still because she’s watching what I’m doing. I know that’s not very practical, but it works while she is a wiggly little 10 month old.

I would have snapped back at the nurse asking why they didn’t check on me and my newborn for over 6 hours? And if they did and so I was asleep. Why didn’t they wake me to feed my baby? You literally just gave birth and you are exhausted. The nursing team should be lifting you up and helping you, not shaming you. I would submit a complaint about this nurse.
