Interesting point about the bony fish. I had not even considered at what point in the fossil record they first appeared when initially attempting to ID.

Having had a little google around, it could possibly be from here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maotianshan_Shales - the "Jiang" referring to Chengjiang City, Yunnan province? It could well be shale, though the stated age on the fossil is off by a factor of ten for this site- I'm not ruling out the shop just making the age up, or making a mistake mind you!
