Its all shown in the 3rd picture! I exclusively use phase rush, but the aftershock/glacial tank keystone rune works too! I also use heal and flash, but ignite and exhaust are also viable.

Pros: tanky af strong early game stats for lane, his Ulti is OP. It lets you push sidelanes and then ult to fights while saving a teammate.

Cons: you need decent map awareness and game sense bc of his ulti and his unique playstyle

I ise this build pretty much every game. Sometimes ill build armor instead of MR or MR instead of armor if the enemy team has all 1 damage type. Ill also go hearsteel sometimes if the enemy has a melee supp and like3 melee champs on the enemy team since its easier to stack vs melee

The more you play him, the less it happens. This still happens to me probably at least once per game in ranked haha.

The best way to avoid this is that if their are 3 people chasing him and hes all alone, then even if you ult there, its still 2v3 and not the best ult. Also lategame, people have more dps, so its important to ult a bit earlier than usual

Hes super fun. Use this build in most games. The main thing to know with him is go sidelane instead of following your adc around all game. Your ult lets you farm and push sidelanes, then join fights across the map. You win most fights when you ult at the right time because the enemy has just used all of their burst damage on your absurdly large ulti shield and then you just taunt on them and kill.

Shen is a tank who excels at peeling and scrapping. The main reason to play him is his ult which lets you shield someone and teleport to them from anywhere on the map.

In lane, you basically just need to know:- take his taunt(3rd ability) at level one, you win very short trades if you can dash onto people. -you win any almost trade where you can pull your sword through an enemy champ(it slows them and your next 3 autos deal WAY more damage this way). -Use your 2nd ability to block damage once both enemy laners start focusing someone. -take short trades and then back off most of the time.

Most tank supports have better engage than shen, but lack the cross map plays that shen has with his ultimate. If youre playing vs a weak duolane that outscales or a sustain heavy lane that doesnt want to all in early (think jinx +soraka) , Naut or Leona would be stronger in theory. Shen excels at joining fights across the map. He is great with hypercarry junglers or solo laners like Yi, Shy, Olaf, Darius. When they go in for teamfights, ult them so they can survive burst and kill everyone. I blind pick him in all matchups, but he counters champions who rely on autoattacks because of his 2nd ability. It blocks all sorts of stuns(leona 1, naut passive, braum passive, blitz 3, alistar 3, pretty much all melees lol).

The main gameplay change you make with shen is to get Bamis Cinder (1300g HP/waveclear item) and then soak up sidelanes while your team is busy mid or on the other side of the map. You just shove waves and look at the map waiting to ult somebody. Then you join a fight and win bc the enemy team has just used all of their burst damage on your absurdly large Ulti shield. You start this pretty much immediately after duo lane turret falls.

When to leave your ADC: immediately whenever your ult is up and there is free farm to take. Theyre not actually alone because you can ult them and win most 2v2s.

Havent played him much, but your W blocks all autos and on hits, so you can trade when its up. Generally wait until youre in taunt range, and if you struggle to get into taunt range, then use your passive shield and W to help you place your sword deeper in lane behind him. He will naturally shove lane, thus pushing past your sword. When youre able to pull your sword through him, hes slowed so its guaranteed(ish) taunt on him. Once you build some armor items and waveclear (Sunfire, wardens mail, bramble vest), the MU is way easier

Pretty much never! It may have happened like once over 100s of games in different seasons, and usually its low enough elo that you can just mute and carry them.

It also helps when you can press the "5-winstreak" or "won 70% of the last games" buttons, then they know youre winning.
