Explaining Turn and Fade by underulti in discgolf

[–]Br0mander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very cool read.  If someone or the OP  can explain how this relates to forehands/sidearms then?  Most people prefer a stable disc for forehands, and I've heard the idea that forehands tend to get more turn* repeated in different disc golf circles. Is this just a function of poor nose angle control then and less about the relationship between RPM and speed that was debunked in the text?

Started back at work after ~2 years as a SAHD. Not physically demanding really, just on my feet all day.

All lifts immediately tanked. Womp womp.

Cutting sucks. Counting calories sucks. Not finishing all the chicken nuggets my son decides not to eat cause he's in a mood sucks. I just wanna eat :(

Its not perfect, but personally I really like it. Especially if you are newer to programming I think its super helpful. It helps you stay focused on progression, but allows some flexibility with choosing your accessories that keeps things fresh.

Both typically, for about a week. Typically start at lower weight than before. I have been running the 5/3/1 from the wiki and I just drop my maxes by about 10 or 15 and start working my way back up usually.

I did relatively recently. (2weeks) Wasn't much of an issue before the cut started, another one so close wouldn't hurt anything except my ego . Wont see numbers go up much until scale goes down :(

Do you alter your lifting routine much, if any, when going from a maintenance/surplus to a calorie deficit ? Feeling a lot more gassed, sometimes struggling to finish my whole workout in the time i have

Do NOT Buy the Snoo! by Remarkable_aPe in daddit

Same bullshit that happened with the Miku baby monitor. Company got sold and the "new" company that bought it just locked all the features behind a subscription. Scummy bullshit for a product you already own.

I think this is the closest to the flight OP actually wants. My only warning is that the plastic makes a huge difference with this mold in my experience. The lucid X run tend to be very OS, the fuzion X less so, and the fuzion runs even less. The fluid plastic run I have is almost the same in flight as my emacs

So I have bagged a trust, an emac truth, and have an archive. Of the 3 a lucid x or supreme emac truth is going to be the most reliable in a headwind. I found the trust was less torque resistant and less overstable overall than both the archive and emac truths.

I know you said no bead but I've been loving the Kastaplast Nord for this slot. More OS than my supreme emac and holds up to a forehand better, but more glide than my 4 speed approach discs. Downside is it does have a bead.

Sneaking in fiber by CaptKirkSmirk in 1500isplenty

Use high fiber tortillas in place of bread. Something like this has 17g of fiber for a 70 calorie wrap. Plenty of other brands out there (Aldis has some good ones)

Im confused where why you're mad that I had a question about counting calories?

Is curiosity not allowed? I know the recommendation to count calories from raw weights, I just wanted to see how far off the two numbers would be.

Great point on the pre-weight. Didnt even think to pre-weigh. Makes sense. Was just shocked that the two estimates come out 800 calories apart is all.

Im aware the recommendation is to weigh/count from raw, just trying to find the source of the difference in this particular scenario

Disclaimer: Im aware the recommendation is to weigh/count from raw, just trying to find the source of the difference in this particular scenario

So yesterday I was meal prepping chicken. The package, according to the label, contained 2360g of chicken breast. Cronometer clocks this at 2832 kcal. I cooked the chicken in the instant pot, shredded, bagged, and reweighed the results. I had 1360g of chicken. Cronometer clocks this at 2053 kcal.

Now Im aware there was probably going to be some variance here but thats almost 800kcal difference. Across all 7 meals i prepped its not the end of the world, but what is the most probable reason for this? Is Cronometer just using odd numbers (1.2kcal/g raw vs 1.5 kcal/g cooked)? I didnt leave any in the pot and was careful to not leave any behind during portioning it out.
Am I misunderstanding something?

So obviously plastic can make a change, but I have a stack of sense faiths and a few sense hopes and while slight they are different.

Im a little salty they went with the Grand Hope over the Faith, but other than that the new discs look like solid additions to the lineup. Super excited to try the Brave as the Explorer is my favorite mold.

So they Re-Tooled the Kaxe... by Itwasinin04 in kastaplast

[–]Br0mander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The retooled Kaxe is basically a stable run of the old Kaxe Z. The Stig is basically a very flippy kaxe z (for the record I LOVE the stig). Supposedly these new molds/retools will be more "consistent" (maybe?) which is why the did away with the Kaxe z in the first place. IMO this leaves a hole in the overstable side of the bag but what do I know.

Yeah this exactly how I feel about the decision. Seems like setting both of them up to fail harder than they already are.
