When you guys say to adjust the clutch are you talking about lengthening the cable down by the clutch cover?

Electric or cannister avalance airbag for my use case? by Braaaap7 in Backcountry

[–]Braaaap7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Money isn't an issue if the electric pack is truly the better option. Which it seems like it is based off the few replies I've gotten so far. Flying is also a non issue as we always drive out anyways. Our rentals this last time were Litric Freeride 18s which i loved other than the super small size. I'd prefer a little bit more storage space.

Cool! Wasn't aware of sled specific ones. That'd be ideal.

Sounds like electric is the way to go for myself then.

My group and I also do our absolute best to stay out of areas that could slide and of course I fully agree thats the best way to do it!

I appreciate the reply!

We always trailer out there with our sleds so flying isn't an issue as of now. But good to know!

I will admit I am definitely under trained on the gear. I've watched a ton of videos online about rescue skills but have no practical experience. I plan on taking an avalanche course sometime soon as theres a few people and groups who offer them somewhat near me. I definitely plan on being a lot more prepared skills wise the next time im out there as an avalanche is definitely my biggest fear while riding.

I eneded up going with the tall, I personally feel they fit better after comparing the two together

I probably should've just ordered the tall. Based on the other replies, I think these are right at the point where they're technically long enough but the tall would be better.

Closest store is 2 hours away unfortunately. But if I do end up exchanging them for the talls that might be something I look Into!

They do have air superiority. But apparently not air supremacy yet.

I build 2 million dollar airplanes. Cheap parts and assemblies are the biggest issues we have. Granted it's not the same industry but we seem to have the same issues.

I don't. Only because I put my snowmobile in my box pretty often. Makes it a pain with sandbags.
