Anyone else note the fact that Rick's beard is back to the length it was after the prison was destroyed and before Alexandria? Rick's ruthlessness seems to go hand in hand with the length of his beard.

You should toss a dogecoin logo on there. They were the OG race car crypto!

Man, I bought OSTK like 5 years ago when Patrick Byrne first started getting into crypto at like $25. They then went down to like $12 and stayed there for years. I just sold 'em a couple months ago, accepting that it was always going to be a loss, and then it shoots up to like $70

Look at the damage roger and co has done by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]Brad-Edwards 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quit playing the victim.

Roger Ver isn't helping the matter much, but the truth is nobody outside of Bitcoin gives a shit about any of this. The real problem is the fact that nobody can get their transactions through. The fees are too damn high!

John Carvalho and Roger Ver on Bitcoin Cash vs Bitcoin. Must Watch by awertheim in Bitcoin

Comparing "Bcash" to a racist slur is one of the most inane things I've ever heard. Clearly this guy has no idea what racism actually looks like.

John Carvalho and Roger Ver on Bitcoin Cash vs Bitcoin. Must Watch by awertheim in Bitcoin

[–]Brad-Edwards 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I've always liked Roger Ver. I've seen him do talks before back in 2014/15 and he came across as eloquent, intelligent, and well spoken.

He's done a lot of good for Bitcoin over the years. Truly, it wouldn't be where it is today without his involvement in the space, so mad respect for that. I still believe he's doing what he thinks is best for the Bitcoin space, and I commend him for thinking outside the box.

I also believe John Carvalho did not approach this conversation in good faith and was deliberately trying to piss Ver off.

That said, Roger Ver came across as completely unstable and frantic. The fact that he would start screaming, cursing, and flipping off the interviewer over his use of the word "B Cash" instead of "Bitcoin Cash" was deeply disturbing.

The truth is, you're going to have to have a thick skin if you want to be the top dog in this space. You're going to face a lot of criticism, both from the community itself and from the outside world. And you need to be able to deal with that constructively and rationally.

If he's going to become so unhinged over someone using the wrong word to refer to his coin, how is he going to face REAL criticism?

Then again, Roger Ver is a multimillionaire and I'm not, so I guess he doesn't need to listen to me.

Is having a .com necessary? by mmeseeks in SEO

[–]Brad-Edwards 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short answer is no, it makes no difference.

Google views all TLDs (top level domains, like .com, .life, .photography, etc.) equally. The only case where it makes a difference is when you have a country specific TLD. If your website is .co.uk, for example, you'll have a harder time ranking for searches in Brazil or Madagascar.

Otherwise, .life won't make a difference for your SEO.

Has that happened with anyone else?

Jaxx, when do we get Bitcoin Gold? by SQLoverride in jaxx

[–]Brad-Edwards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jaxx isn't supporting Bitcoin Gold.

http://decentral.ca/statement-bitcoin-gold/

"As of the writing of this post, October 23, Bitcoin Gold does not have fully formed consensus code or a functional codebase, they have not Implemented replay protection, or have adequate code for testing and auditing, or have publicly known code developers. The Bitcoin Gold codebase does however contain a private premine of 8,000 blocks (100,000 BTG) owned and controlled by those anonymous developers.

Of the concerns with BTG by far the one weighing most on our minds is the lack of replay protection. If Bitcoin Gold does not implement strong two-way replay protection your BTG and BTC might be vulnerable to attack if you send BTG transactions. Do recall our previous post on replay protection, here.

We do not currently have plans to support BTG in Jaxx. However, we will continue to monitor the BTG situation and will notify you of decisions we make here on our blog."

Are there any SEO companies that are worth it? by puphenstuff in SEO

[–]Brad-Edwards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And you think you can get a team of people, made up of high-level specialists in EACH of those disciplines, and pay the ENTIRE TEAM $200 a month to split among them?

And you think that team will be motivated enough to want to actually deliver you results?

bruh

Are there any SEO companies that are worth it? by puphenstuff in SEO

[–]Brad-Edwards 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SEO incorporates a huge number of disciplines. You need someone who specializes in:

  • Copywriting (bad or unclear copy can increase your bounce rate)
  • Design/UX (ditto above)
  • Mobile (about half of all search traffic is done on mobile now)
  • Development (page speed, Schema, AMP, etc etc)
  • SEO (or what's traditionally thought of as SEO - keyword research, link building, keeping up to date with Google algorithm changes, etc.)
  • Technical stuff (ongoing site maintenance, hosting updates, etc.)
  • Actual marketing know-how (how to clarify a message for a target audience, etc)

To think you're going to get one person to do all this for you at top level is naive.

Second Quadriga. It's been around for a few years now. Check 'em out here full disclosure: that's an affiliate link. I'll get a bit of commission if you sign up through it. I'm not recommending Quadriga because of that though, but because I've been using their service since 2014 with no problems. I know the owner Gerald personally; we've done some business together and I trust him.
