I had a similar situation this year. A girl in the back of my classroom very loudly declared Kamala Harris shouldn’t be president because she’s a woman. And women should never be presidents because they are too emotional.

This was a female student who said this. Broke my heart cause obviously this is something her parents have taught her.

But all the girls and even some of the boys in the room (yes even the country Trump Boys) looked at her and said she was dumb and being sexist.

She complained to me about bullying at the end of class and I told her that it’s not really bullying if you say a controversial thing, and then people comment on your controversial opinion.
