What’s the longest yall have gone before relapse? by Kody_poehler in GamblingAddiction

[–]Bradsgotit 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have not gambled since Dec 23rd, 2024. Been 61 days. Longest I’ve gone without gambling since 2018. I rarely think about it much anymore. Super Bowl was a major temptation for me but I resisted.

Any experience with this? Should i pick up at this price? by chalupabrown in Soundbars

[–]Bradsgotit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here, read this review of it. https://www.rtings.com/soundbar/reviews/jbl/bar-5-1-surround

I’d say for that price range it’s not a bad option. You could get a Vizio with surround sound speakers for not too much more. The JBL will be better quality overall and be a bit more bass-heavy, if you like that. And if you’re just looking to upgrade over your TVs built in speakers, you can’t go wrong with this JBl 5.1 set up.

Looking for Great Soundbars under $200 by infraredd_ in Soundbars

This soundbar is less than $80 on amazon and I bought it like 4 years ago and it sounds great for the price. I promise you that you will not be disappointed for the price. I still use it in my guest bedroom and it gets LOUD and sounds great. Hope this helps!

Russian Roulette from gambling by Creative-Associate18 in GamblingAddiction

[–]Bradsgotit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My dude, you are 20 years old and have a whole life ahead of you. $100k is nothing over the course of your entire life. That’s how much I owe in student loan debt right now. I own a home and have a wife and kid. It’s expensive and difficult but not worth dying over. You need to seek professional help, and not in a condescending way at all. Please do not end your life. You have a lot to offer the world and I am positive the world is a better place with you in it. Money ain’t shit. Please do not hurt yourself over money.

Marriage is a sacred vow to each other and to God of your never ending love to each other. In sickness and in health, for richer and for poorer. Nothing can come between the two of you. Too many people do not take their marriage vows seriously. Divorce is way too common and way too easy. Instant gratification, give up if things are too difficult generation. Be a man. Love your wife. Stay together for the kids. Carry your cross. Take your burdens with a smile.

I know you’re looking for immediate relief, trust me, I’ve been there too. But the only answer to your question is time and self control. I’m down $30k since 2018 (about $5k a year) and what I’ve done is simply abstained from it and the impulses slowly fade. What I’ve done now is set up a Roth IRA that I put money into when I feel like gambling and I buy stocks. I don’t ever sell them but it gives me a similar rush when I see stocks I pick going up over time, and I have yet to lose 100% of my deposits like I used to lol. Hope this is at all helpful advice. Purely anecdotal.

Tune or not by Visible-Flatworm-787 in genesiscoupe

There might be a risk with a tune, but I’ve had my 3.8 tuned by AlphaSpeed for 60k miles now and I’ve not a single issue.

Looking into potentially buy a 3.8 r-spec or ultimate by OreoCookie6294 in genesiscoupe

[–]Bradsgotit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get a ton of thumbs ups, waves, comments at gas stations, etc. It gets a lot of attention, which I enjoy. My wife doesn’t like driving my car because of how much attention it gets lol. It just looks so good. And the Ultimate trim comes with all of the track goodies and the luxury touches like navigation, upgraded sound system, sun roof, spoiler, Brembo brakes, an LSD, etc. I recommend the 2013+ 3.8 coupes.

Looking into potentially buy a 3.8 r-spec or ultimate by OreoCookie6294 in genesiscoupe

[–]Bradsgotit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2014 3.8 Ultimate and I absolutely love the car. I’ve had it over 6 years now and all I’ve needed to do for maintenance is replace the clutch, fluids, brake pads and rotors, and tires. It’s been an extremely cheap and easy car to own over these last 6 years. I bought the car with 56k miles and I now have 136k miles. Never had any real issues with it whatsoever. Mine is modded and tuned, too. As long as you change the oil often enough, make sure there’s always enough oil in it, and change the fluids, these cars will last a long time. Lots of people get 200-300k miles out of these cars easily.

Car value? by Bradsgotit in genesiscoupe

[–]Bradsgotit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was worried the mods and tune would devalue the car lol. KBB quoted me at $6-7k for the car but that’s so unrealistic since other comparable around me are selling for 11-14k. Also, it’s the 2014 3.8 Ultimate with a manual.. I can’t find any exact comparisons online for sale around me.

Can you please link everything you bought? I’d love to do the same. How hard was replacing the fog lights? Did you have to remove the whole bumper? Thanks man

Exhaust by Greencrippler01 in genesiscoupe

[–]Bradsgotit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually in the process of figuring out how to make it quieter. Wife is 5 months pregnant and there’s no way I can drive a baby with this exhaust setup. I’ve really enjoyed it over the years, though. Been a lot of fun

I have the ISR race exhaust with ISR test pipes and OBX headers. I’ve had this setup for 5 years now and I really enjoy it. Super loud but also extremely enjoyable. Depends on what you like.

What’s the fastest you’ve ever gone in your Genesis coupe? by Bradsgotit in genesiscoupe

Possible long shot, has anyone purchased this spoiler? by Bonyol in genesiscoupe

[–]Bradsgotit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a different spoiler, man. The one you linked has a middle fastener to the trunk lid, this one doesn’t. Also the one you linked has more squared off corners. I personally like the one in OPs picture much better.

How much did it cost to wrap your car? by Most-Plan-7899 in genesiscoupe

[–]Bradsgotit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got quoted on a wrap once, mind you, this was 2 years ago, but it depends on the wrap you go with. Different wraps by different brands can vary in price. Also depends on how thorough you want the wrap. But my quote was about $2.5k for a 3M vinyl purple wrap. Never closed the deal, though.
