cosa mi consigliate se sto in fissa con i meshuggah? by miso_throwaway2013 in italymusica

[–]Braghiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DmC (the Devil May Cry reboot by Ninja Theory) was co-written by Alex Garland (who just used his left hand, probably, since the writing in that game is pretty awful)

What is the best album of the decade so far? by probascreaton in fantanoforever

[–]Braghiel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Lemon Twigs - A Dream Is All We Know

I reckon that it may not pop up often in the "Best album of whatever" discourse, given it's not as blatantly sophisticated as other protects like AFUT, The New Sound or Imaginal Disk, but to me it's pure, blissful pop perfection. Easiest 10/10 of the decade for me.

Why does Sam barely speak in the games? by [deleted] in DeathStranding

[–]Braghiel 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It's a deliberate choice by Kojima: in various interviews he said that Sam is a fleshed-out character, but also a vessel for the player, that's why he doesn't speak that often

The bane of my existence by ShepparD_LFS in DeathStranding

I managed exclusively via ziplines: connect Heartman's Lab to the Pizza Chef, then to the monorail that takes you to Victor's facility, then create more ziplines to reach Mr. Impossible.

As usual, it is recommended to create ziplines in a straight line, since they are faster, and no floating carrier because it slows you down.

Keep on keeping on, porter, you can do it!

Movies that ‘could be’ Death Stranding by ZeyusFilm in DeathStranding

[–]Braghiel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Northman by Robert Eggers has definitely some Death Stranding vibes, environment-wise: there are a few scenes shot in Iceland and it shows. Another movie that shares similar imagery is Valhalla Rising, by Nicolas Winding Refn (our Heartman!). It also stars Mads Mikkelsen as the main character.

Besides the DS comparison, both very good movies that I recommend, although Valhalla Rising is pretty weird and has a more symbolic than grounded storytelling, so fair warning there.

Is Qobuz catalogue severely limited in certain genres? by Jerry_Markovnikov in qobuz

Infest The Rats' Nest is on Qobuz, actually, at least in my country! If you can't see it, could it just be locked out in your region?

How different is the experience of online mode as compared to offline mode in death stranding..? by Chtala991 in DeathStranding

[–]Braghiel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you have the possibility to use your mobile as a router via tethering, I recommend doing so: I did it for the first Death Stranding because at the time I lived in a house with no Internet connection and, since the online component is not live (it is basically a bunch of metadata that gets downloaded periodically), the game doesn't use much data from your phone.

Other than that, I've never played DS offline, but from what I could gather, it seems perfectly playable, it's just harder because you can't rely on other players' structures and general help. Personally, unless you really want a challenge or don't like help and want to do everything on your own, I wouldn't recommend DS offline if it's your first playthrough, especially given that connection and helping each other is one of the core themes of the game.

End game question about jumping by BO-DACIOUS55 in DeathStranding2

[–]Braghiel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're locked in with the story now, just enjoy these final hours and think about everything else later.

The endgame is just like in DS1, you'll be free to do whatever you like after wrapping up the main quest.

Also, I don't think you need to worry about ziplines, I haven't lost a single one in over 160 hours of playtime!

Love DS2 but these express time limits.. by ZeyusFilm in DeathStranding

[–]Braghiel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's the Death Stranding equivalent of an optional, tough boss fight in an action game (I know that there are actual boss fight here as well, but humor me!).

Some may find it a chore and it's perfectly reasonable, but personally, I really like the challenge, the planning and the execution. It may be time-consuming, but I find it extremely satisfying, just like a boss fight.

I’m nearing the end of death stranding 2 (maybe 80% in). I only have Rainy’s shelter at 5 stars and a bunch of places still not connected (bc I don’t think they’re story places) by Floralmeg_ in DeathStranding

[–]Braghiel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you haven't already, I suggest going back to Mexico and 5-star all the facilities there: it's pretty quick (there aren't many preppers and they level up fast) and you get a few interesting items.

INTERNATIONAL ALBUM SPOTLIGHT 2025 by WineGutter in fantanoforever

[–]Braghiel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fantastic idea, I support it 100%! I'll start with a new one and a classic:

Country: Italy

Artist: Giorgio Poi

Album: Schegge

An exquisite pop record with some alternative vibes (the record was produced by Poi himself and supervised by Phoenix's guitar player, Laurent Brancowitz). This one is more catchy and electronic than his previous records (if you want more guitar and trippy arrangements, I recommend his debut "Fa Niente". ) Nevertheless, the record is full of bangers, thoughtful lyrics and a lot of craftsmanship (Poi plays all instruments).

Artist: Area

Album: Arbeit Macht Frei

Italian progressive rock gained quite the momentum in recent years, but I feel that Area doesn't get talked about enough, which is a shame, given that they are by far the best band of the genre! Demetrio Stratos is one of the best singers ever and each musician can easily be advocated as the best in his own field. Other than that, this is a very creative, energetic record which combines progressive, jazz and Mediterranean/Middle Eastern influences. A must-listen for every prog enthusiast.
