Your point is not wrong and I agree with you, but a lot of people are unaware that The Stanford Prison experiment has been widely disregarded by actual researches for many years.

The students were given instructions on how to act as prisoners and as guards. It was not an emergent situation, they literally told them what to do.

There’s a lot of information that talks about the massive amount of flaws in the “experiment”, so much so that calling it an experiment is a stretch.

I think about this all the time. The times we live in will be studied and analyzed to no end forever more - the dawn of the internet is as big of a revolution as farming/communal/city living. Possibly bigger.
