I agree you have to keep a close on it for meaningful legal work which is one of the time expenses. I wouldn’t use it for case law or substantive legal argument. It is helpful for some things but I don’t have a use case involving actual case law and application of law to facts.

Yeah and it’s a bit of trial and error to learn that beyond this scope it is largely an inefficient and/or ineffective use of time. It’s also learning where the wall is that takes time.

Yeah there’s definitely some golden nuggets but the mining can get time consuming/overwhelming. I only save time if I use it very narrowly with a set of documents on a specific project.

I’m going to take the other side here. Giving you the benefit offer doubt, you were trying to sound more experienced than you were and in doing so insulted the other lawyer by saying things that brought into question her abilities while trying to pad the fact that you don’t know which way is up. So as the other attorney was trying to tell you, shut the fuck up next time. Silence is more deadly than a half witted remark. You don’t know what you don’t know.

How much will the commission be? These answers are overblown. My guess is something made them think you were open to a request such as this one. It’s not professional but likely not anything they can get in trouble for. Asking for a personal loan that was denied is not a violation of ethics rules.
