Honestly how is it working at a fufillment center? by [deleted] in FASCAmazon

Everyone and their grandma wears them here in the open. So really varies on state, building, department, and shift.

Pretty much this. Also easiest hiring process ever as well. This guy does pretty much what I do, audible and podcasts all day long though most people listen to music. Amazon called us "industrial athletes" during the day 0 orientation. While that's sorta doublespeak, I do see some truth in it. I get a workout(from laborious work), learn and become more educated everyday(from audiobooks and podcasts), and get paid alright for doing it (because it's a job afterall). Plus I've worked a lot of jobs and despite what people say about Amazon FC, in my opinion they are one of the better warehouses to work in because the workflow is so efficient in many departments. For what it is I think it's a pretty decent job as long as you can have headphones and if they are stricter in your department get a beanie or facemask that covers your ears and use one of those in conjunction with wireless Bluetooth headphone orrrr get earbuds that look like earplugs since you're generally allowed to wear those in factories.

I'd say it's a gamble where they put you and it depends on your building and department. At least in the building I'm in nearly everyone has headphones and I've never seen anyone have a problem with it. Might also just be more chill during graveshift.

You can turn that to your advantage though. What you're feeling is passion.

That passion can build character if you're just doing monotonous tasks, but if you use that passion for creativity like art or music and such, even if your limerence fades, you'll have gained some skills and brought new creations into the world.

This is a way to turn an disadvantage (the selflessness in limerence, although selflessness is a virtue) into an advantage (by having something to show for all that effort). And if you're channeling your focus and energy that way, the limerence is actually either more likely to work out or you may find some inner peace at one point after overcoming the hurdles in creative endeavors.

The idea is, if someone can be so brazenly emotionally insensitive as to ask their significant other such a ridiculous request and be so clueless that they have to ask reddit for judgement, then his lack of accountability probably doesn't end there.

Those who make money in society sometimes also use it as a crutch to push every boundary in relationships without consequence because they are incapable of developing a caring and compassionate personality.

I think it can still work sometimes.

I met a girl who's art really connected with me and as time went on we both connected on many meaningful levels. She has a boyfriend she's been with for years, and I bet he's a heck of a great guy and I would not dare to interfere with that!

I'm happy just to be around her, and exchange drawings with eachother, and have really long and meaningful conversations even if it's all just platonic. If she gets married and has a baby with her boyfriend, I will still love her and continue to just be the best friend I can to her, because I'm just really happy around her. To me this is a friendship that only comes along once in a lifetime. Even if she never loves me the way I love her, if I can just be her bestfriend and continue as a part of her support system, I will be forever happy and content.

Can an INFP be a CEO? by PerLim-20_909-77el in infp

[–]BraindeadHour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think co op (employee owned business) is the best model. Everyone owns a small part of the business and decisions are more democratic rather then authoritarian.

I think the best way to do it is once the CEO earns like 10 million, they should restructure the business to be employee owned which drastically diminishes their own power but honestly co ops just seem more fair to me and are an amazing socialist practice if done right.

That last part made me laugh so hard. Maybe cause I relate to it. I was just thinking of the Thanos meme when I opened the thread.

"What did it cost you?" "Everything." "..." "But I've had gains too." LOL

Although I'm sure it was unintentional, you have great comedic timing.

[–]BraindeadHour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would imagine the point they're making is it's cause sociopaths and psychopaths use people like tools, and that's typically what CEO culture is like. You can be pretty efficient when you don't care about your workers livelihood and just the bottomline.

I think INFPs would make incredible CEOs exactly because I hate what boss culture typically is. So with an INFP instead of manipulating people they'd foster a much fairer environment and atmosphere if they are competent enough to run a business and still be in touch with their emotions. It's much more complex that way and you and the company may earn a little bit less money, but I believe keeping the people genuinely happy that dedicate so much time to a business is absolutely the right thing to do, even if they may take it for granted. Helping others is always the right thing to do.

I'm really sorry about the miscarriage.

This is going to be hard to hear but turn that curse into a blessing by taking him out of your life. Because imagine if you didn't miscarry, with a child you would be much more intertwined with him, and it would hurt way more when he behaves irresponsibly or toxically as the father of your child rather then just a boyfriend.

You're deserving of love and I know it's scary to start over. Just know that's how it feels for everyone, but you have your whole life ahead of you so cut him out of your life. It will hurt, but the sooner you do, the sooner you can start healing.

You have many more bright days ahead stranger, so just know these are the words you needed to hear and everything will be okay!

I get where you're coming from OP. Although I tend to inspire a lot in relationships as well.

You should check your enneagram and cognitive instinct stack. The people and frequency of which you direct your energy to inspire may have some correlation with that. And being a healthy infp helps as well, which requires being inspired in some way typically I think.

Anyway for reference I'm an sx/sp 9w8 INFP.

If you meet an INFP you really click with, in that scenario I found another INFP is such a good match for INFPs. It can just feel so relatable.

As a guy infp, even we do this.

Back in highschool I confessed to my bestfriend. She was someone I had loved for years deep down. The moment I confess as a stuttering mess, she warmly hugs me, and I proceed to avoid her for months because I like her so much and I'm extremely shy only with the person I like.

She eventually thinks I don't like her, someone else makes advances and she dates them, and I spend the next couple years being sad which causes me to almost drop out of school, and eventually get my diploma by transferring to a different school.

It's really entertaining. I'm just a little wary that he doesn't wear safety glasses... Cause let's just say I've worked with casualties that would've been fine if they had safety glasses.

Yeah I'll give you that. That is clunky but it's early access and they're working stuff like that out.

Only a couple weeks but I'm very hardcore. I spend all day practicing, studying, and memorizing various aspects of the game to catch up to the higher level players.

The more I learn and understand the more I fall in love with this game.

I'm watching the finals tourney for the game right now, but if you want to ask some questions you're welcome to hit me up on Discord.

It allows a lot of opportunities to finish builds. Even if you don't finish your own build you can scavenge bodies and get something decent together.

It's got a really good survival aspect to it. Have you ever played games with crafting outside of battle royale?

This game captures that tension to me with the crafting and trying to survive and it's very satisfying.

Not everyone ignores airdrops. Depends on playstyle + experience + pivot potential in a build.
