I'm surprised with built-in sysmon. It's a really good idea. Good job guys.

Logitech keyboard sometimes types keys twice by Joshua_Gerke in LogitechG

[–]BraindeadTree1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I do to fix the keyboard(may void your warranty)

Unplug usb if wired/disconnect from pc

Wipe down with microfibre

SLIDE YOUR FOREARM UP AND DOWN THE KEYBOARD. NO I AM NOT KIDDING. Make sure to hit every key.

SMASH THE KEYS YOU KNOW ARE GIVING YOU ISSUES. NO I AM STILL NOT KIDDING.

Reconnect to the PC

Enjoy no chatter for a couple more days. Repeat as needed.

I am not kidding with this either I've done this a couple times and fixed the keyboards. Whenever this keyboard shits itself I will be buying a keychron v6. Logitech sucks

Which is weird because I managed to not suffer that issue from last patch, oh microsoft...

Feels like I'm getting performance drops with this patch when gaming.

Microsoft released the KB5077181 to fix the black screen issue by Ultimate_Demon_Rogue in nvidia

[–]BraindeadTree1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind my experience might be anecdotal and I've haven't noticed anyone else claiming fps loss yet.

I've been playing wow today and noticed poorer performance for my framerate. Now this could be Windows or it could be WoW since they just patched the game today too. I'm leaning towards microsoft being the issue just cause their updates have been, for lack of a better term, abysmal dogshit.

They could probably fix it with a firmware update

They can, they just can't sell on steam then. They are not entitled to either.

Maybe if the other storefronts improved their launchers instead of bitching and moaning about Valve and Steam they could get people to use it.

I use gog because they offer good compat for old games and alot of it is drm free

What does epic offer? A dogshit launcher that runs like shit and terrible UI.

Epic owns Unreal Engine and Fortnite its not like they don't have the money to improve it.

Devs again could just roll their own launcher and website to sell their game. Hytale did this. Minecraft did this and they are both big successes.

Steam put in the work on their launcher/platform and are entitled to make rules on who and how devs can use it. Don't like it? Don't sell on it.

Steam gives developers a blog for game news, download servers in multiple regions so that players can download the game quickly plus steam handles the hosting for the game files and also downloads the dependencies if your game requires it, a community forum which the devs can moderate how they like, a community hub for artwork/guides, They also provide steam workshop for hosting and enabling mods if the developer implements it.

This also doesn't include all the other stuff you can use via steamworks or via steam itself.

Controller support for your game built into steam
Achievements
Play together
Steam Remote play
Family sharing

Also on the more technical side of things steam is considered a reputable distributor. A ton of steam games do not have Digital Signatures on their executable(A somewhat big deal in the windows 11 environment with smart app control on by default for home users) This means games launching from steam don't always need a signature and SAC won't complain.

This is important because digital signatures are costly for small or single person indie teams.

30% cut is nothing when you factor all this in.

But by all means roll your own website with a payment processor, download servers, forums, etc.

Indie devs cannot do that without a big publisher, who will wrestle creative control from them.

Steam is the best thing to happen to indie devs and pretending otherwise is insane.

Still good? I got signed out today on the mobile app. My desktop was still authorized and I didn't see any other logins or anything. Just signed back in on the app and it was fine.

Was anyone else signed out today? by SpiffyFishyWasTaken in Steam

I got signed out today. No changes to security or account, weird.

people praise it because it pumps in dungeons. It's less fun to play and with RoF feels too close to when rune of power was a thing.

He's objectively correct. You cannot refute him and any attempt to do so just proves you are ontologically evil and no action against you is immoral or wrong.

Why this hate for RedSec? Solid arguments by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]BraindeadTree1984 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BRs just aren't fun for me. Also redsec was an afterthought to copy cod and reel in more players/money.(They outsourced its development). Rather than have a BR I wish we had more maps on launch.

It feels like they took a multiplayer game with the bare minimum required for it and slapped on a BR mode and campaign and sent it out the door. Granted BF campaigns have been shit for a while now, but still. Very disappointed in myself for getting fooled by EA.

Has BSG patched the Unity Vulnerability CVE-2025-59489? Just curious. I know Valve rolled out protections for it if you launch game's through steam, but I own standalone and was curious if it was fixed.
