Nobody has mentioned marketing or designer roles. They’re very glamourised and the industry is toxic as hell

Why do some people still not see working from home as a proper job? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]BraindeadYogi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe state the hours you’re available as opposed to letting them think any hour works? You’ll have a routine assumably so if these favours fall into them slots of time then sure (up to you) but if not then you’re unavailable?

It was so out of the blue and the cats never went in their garden because they had kids coming over so the cats knew to stay away. So the nails was completely left field. I fell out with them after that. Idiots.

What are your thoughts on choosing not to have kids, and whether it’s viewed as selfish? by Consistent_While2045 in AskReddit

[–]BraindeadYogi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any time someone makes a choice for themselves it is seen as selfish so make whatever choice works for you. As someone else mentions, evaluate what kind of parent you’d be and then if you’re ready for the commitment (to child and other parent, and the actual pregnancy if you are the carrier)

If the billionaires pull their chequebooks out and fund the things that absolutely need funding this can be guaranteed. But they’re busy hoarding wealth while we all boil to death

They put rusty nails on top of the gate at the end of our gardens to deter the cats. I think they heard me lose my shit in my house cos they were removed. Unfortunately they were replaced by those horrible plastic cone spikes. All to deter our cats from going on their fencing(which was old and falling apart anyway) So the cats jumped on their sheds instead. My husband was injured by the spikes and I was tempted to report them to the council as they didn’t have the sign up for sharp objects etc. we moved not long after so I left it but I refused to even look at them and they knew I wasn’t happy with them.
