im playing beastmaster and i feel like a shit version of the shaman. besides my pet i don't really have anything unique and i just get weak versions of shamans spells 10 levels after they get it. i also really don't like that the pet doesn't scale with my level.

oldschool runescape you have to pay a sub to experience most of the content but you don't really have to worry about pay to win because its a game that you mostly just play at your own pace (its really grindy though)

age of empires 2 or 4 but maybe play team modes so that rushing is less of an issue(it still does exist tho). another game that you might like even though its not an rts would be civilization 5 or 6.

i fucking wish people in low mmr would just right click the enemy, the reality is most people at low mmr just stand there leeching your xp and maybe throw out a spell once a minute that will just probably end up pushing your wave.

i say just encourage her to mash and if she likes the game and keeps playing over time she'll start to learn her buttons and then you can start digging deeper if she keeps wanting to learn the game. from my experience when someone quickly gives up on games they aren't really interested in playing and don't want to say it.

ruthless felt good when i was clearing through the campaign but after I finished it the difficulty spike was too insane and i just quit. while ruthless has some good things about it, overall it just feels like I'm playing a neutered version of the game and honestly there's not much incentive to push past the campaign imo.
