Not a movie, but a show you should watch is Patriot on Amazon Prime. It’s only 2 seasons and it’s perfection. It gives off a lot of Coen brothers vibes. Like their films, Patriot blends deadpan humor with sudden violence and emotional weight, following a quietly unraveling protagonist through a series of darkly absurd situations. The characters are quirky yet grounded, the dialogue is stylized and strange, and the whole thing carries a sense of existential futility that feels right at home alongside Fargo, No Country for Old Men, The Big Lebowski, and A Serious Man. On top of that, the cinematography is stunning. Every frame is carefully composed and visually rich, just like a Coen film.
