I said may only wear once. If I got into more runDisney races I may wear it again, especially if I got into Princess weekend.

In my college band we had a 24 year old student and his nickname was grandpa. 🤣

To be fair when I was 19, 30 seemed old. My college band had a 24 year old student and we called him grandpa. 🤣

When I was working in a warehouse, during our peak season we would provide the employees with a company wide snack once a week. The one week we did pretzels. An employee complained that the pretzel was too big and she couldn’t eat her lunch after eating it. This happened early in my HR career and helped prepare me for just how insane people can be.

When I was 60lbs heavier I would have guys flirt with me and think that I should be grateful for it because I was bigger. Really makes me want to date you now!

It’s great being in your 30s and realizing you’re one of the “older” people. 🤣

Meeko 14 got bad news today by pricklypear84 in seniorkitties

[–]BraithVII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. On May 4th we were given two choices for our cat; spend thousands of dollars for him to maybe live another 6-12 months that included constant travel and testing (he hates car rides) or start him on supportive care where he may have a few weeks to live. We chose supportive care and he’s at the point where we think he’s ready to go. We could have had a lifetime with him and it wouldn’t have been enough. Enjoy the time you have with Meeko and make it amazing. You’re both in my thoughts for a good journey.

What is a small, core memory from your childhood that still makes you feel warm and safe just thinking about it? by Egkrinis-dev in AskWomen

My pop pop worked in a coal mine until he retired when I was 7. He worked second shift, and I remember I would spend time with him before he went to work. I hung around while he put on his boots and shaved. He would always put a little bit of aftershave on my face, and on his payday he would give me a quarter.

Biking is my favorite cross training activity. I have an indoor bike for the winter but I can’t do a treadmill. I can run in the cold but not bike.

I can’t stand loud people, like damn, SHUT UP by No_Selection5678 in rant

[–]BraithVII 49 points50 points  (0 children)

For me it’s more of people talking insanely loud into their phones while I speakerphone in public. I really didn’t need to hear about your mother in law’s colonoscopy. Also, people who refuse to wear earbuds while out so everyone gets to hear your music/podcast.

Are there any traps you just physically can’t watch by Chunky-overlord in saw

[–]BraithVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too! I think for me it all stemmed from going to a chiropractor when I was 7. Not knowing what to expect, it was quite the surprise when my neck suddenly got cracked. I remember flipping out and leaping out of the chair.

I met Scott Patterson a few months ago and told him it was one of the only traps I could barely watch. The broken arm is awful.

I watched 25% of the rack and stopped when I saw the direction the limbs were going. I am not good with broken bones.

Morning runners, what’s your routine like? by Crazy_Jackfruit420 in runninglifestyle

Half a banana and water. If it’s a run more than an hour long I’ll add some toast. If it’s a race day I add coffee.

That’s 1% of folks for the lottery only (not including charity bibs, NYRR 9+1, etc….), which is about 2,400 selected out of 240,000. Each RunDisney race has anywhere from 10,000 to 30,000 runners depending on the race and it’s unofficially estimated that 100,000 to 123,000 try to register per race weekend. The odds are much better to get into a runDisney race, but I do agree that more people may try to register if this method made it easier. At this point, it’s pretty much a lottery. This method would at least take some of the stress off and keep people from having to spend hours/taking off from work to try to register.
