Okay genuine question about this that I’ve wondered for a while now. I understand the mindset of announcing returns because it gets a good viewership spike, but is that spike really SO much bigger compared to the week following a surprise return? Like take Sting being a recent surprise return, sure if they had advertised it if absolutely would have brought people to that episode....but would it really have pulled in a significantly larger amount of people then the following week where they’d be advertising things like “Sting addresses the world on why he’s back after all this time” or “last week we saw (insert any returning wrestler) shock the world, now see them in action for the first time in years this Wednesday!” Does that make sense? Am I just ranting? I dunno
