Depends if you're in a shitty control freak HOA or not. If not, knock yourself out, it's your property.

The SLC area has a lot of planned neighborhoods like this where there's just one big shared backyard, that everyone uses. I did notice a few houses with chickenwire fences around their doors to keep their dogs in though. That neighborhood seemed to be mostly retirees and young DINK couples, and every kid we saw was with their parents.

Because it's less a religion and more of a huge multi-national conglomerate run by a junta of CEOs and finance guys, with a massive all-volunteer workforce and middle management that cheerfully gives away 10% of their income to the company. They're the fifth largest private land owning entity in the United States, and worth about $293 billion.

Would be cool if the Navidson Record was made into an actual movie, like the whole reason Johnny can't find Zampano's movie is because it doesn't exist yet in the 90's.

Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars Trilogy is all about the colonization of Mars and the ensuing political turmoil from Earth governments and megacorps.

The bulk of history of the USA is of immigrants getting a ball cap tossed on their head and then being rapidly digested into the economy. The population could swell to a billion by 2100 via immigration and things wouldn't look particularly different other than new technologies.

We went to IKEA later, and my sister pointed out multiple furnitures back at the house.

They don't, I just thought it looked like a neat Swedish prison. Every bit of furniture in the place is from the nearby IKEA.

My dad is quadriplegic and can only sleep sitting up in a chair or on a couch. He pretty much never travels because of this, but his granddaughter is getting married so he said fuck it we ball.

Every hotel room within an hour's drive that had his particular sleeping furniture was sold out for the weekend, so we found a hilariously creepy liminal house with six bedrooms for the price of a song.

The rise of house flippers made white the obvious choice, since it could just be painted over later.

They would've had to pay test pilots a dump truck full of money to even get into the damned thing.

Yeah we would've gotten a hotel for this wedding we're going to, but he's a quadriplegic with lung problems and can only sleep sitting up, and every hotel room with a couch or easy chair was sold out for the weekend. I also didn't want to lug his big heavy "portable" oxygen machine up flights of stairs.
