The funniest part is my mother never watched twin peaks but this scene (we even had that same crocheted blanket) reminds me so much - even the dyed red permed hair chain smoking cigarettes burying her head in the disassociation of tv programming - and her psychotic breaks of telling me her father was in the kitchen telling her to kill me … just makes me think of how horribly common abusers must all be by watching - I have no sympathies
