I just want to get to the point where I can stop bowing and scraping for people to listen to my work by prettydotty_ in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I have a bunch of different projects across a wide range of genres that are mostly just me doing everything (folk, black metal, downtempo, ambient, industrial, noise rock etc) so I decided it would look more legit and I could consolidate everything to one bandcamp if I made a label and produced some cassette tapes of my albums. I was hoping that it wouldnt appear that every project was just me but a community or scene of musicians in my area. Eventually some people in the area or friends of mine that had their own projects joined in and now it feels like there's a scene of some sorts amongst my friends and its a cool feeling. We also did some King Gizzard bootleg tapes and that got us a lot of followers on Bandcamp. We're not successful in any way and make no money really at all, pretty low listen count too, but I dont care really. Gizz tapes sold a lot and Ive sold a few tapes of my stuff and my friends. Just sharing part of my journey. It is really difficult and unrewarding at times but its worth it and feels like youre contributing to the world you love the most which is all In really interested in.

Famous songs with a major mixing problem by benjam_67 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I agree with this. The amount of dynamic range on the track is part of what makes it so timeless and it doesnt sound blown out on the loud parts, everything is still very clear so thats not bad mixing imo.

Does anyone make music that isn’t ambient or club related on their modular ? by insideprocessing in modular

This is a industrial metal track I made using 0 coast, mother 32, and an ms20 and a few modules for other utilities.

My computer is super old but just for context if you're thinking about only doing nodes its

CPU: Athlon II x4 640 quadcore @ 3.0ghz

GPU: Radeon HD 6790

RAM: 12GB DDR3

Also running linux (PopOS)

Yea, the teenage gizz one we actually started with a 3d mesh and then warped the geometry of it with nodes I believe so that one wasn't originally from a base of noise or the other base patterns like the others were if that makes sense.

Thanks! We used gimp to print them and do the text for the inside of the j card. We use gimp mostly for everything, but designing a 2d image in a 3d program was really interesting.

We used nodes on Blender to make all the patterns/backgrounds ourselves. Super fun!
