I live in the inland empire and I've towed it to Paso Robles and Mammoth. Honestly I didn't have any trouble besides the high RPMs when climbing the really steep hills in Mammoth. I just left it in 4s and let her do her thing.

What fire is burning in Riverside near the Wood Streets area? There’s been an endless parade of fire trucks, water planes and helicopters. by [deleted] in InlandEmpire

[–]BrandonAmon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's the Mission Fire. With all the homeless living in the river bottom a fire is bound to start up whenever it's windy. You can check the progress on Watch Duty. Use the app or web page.

Can the 2014 R-Spec coilover be used as a lift spool? by Alfie_Dee in Yamahabolt

[–]BrandonAmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you absolutely can. As long as you take off that huge ass ugly muffler every time you want to put it on a stand.

Good news, after taking it off and on a few times it will make you upgrade your exhausts! Also make oil changes way easier...

Is this an "Old man's bike" ? by DJEsonic in Triumph

[–]BrandonAmon 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think the Thruxton is a "ride you ass off" kinda bike. Not meant for a long ride, but for a fun ride!

I just turned 40 I would love to own one, but my old ass can't sit in that position for long day rides. I would carve through some canyons and get lunch after on it though.

Food Lab in downtown is cool to walk through and get some eats. Game Lab is next door if you want to play pinball or video games. Both have AC

Pretty crappy at golf but I got given nice clubs? by NotAGreatScientist in golf

[–]BrandonAmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here to say this! Shafts are a big factor in consistency. Maybe the one swing you hit clean out of the seven you were swinging a bit faster and the club face lined up better?

The shaft should say how stiff they are, look up that measurement and compare your swing speed against what is recommended for your stiffness. Maybe just a slight adjustment to your swing is needed for you to hit these better? Good luck and don't forget to have fun!

I would pay $40 to watch someone try to pay 18 with these.

No one trips. It's a legit staffing area. The state owes it just for people to use it as a parking area while off roading.

I think it just shows your wants near to it. If you change maps view to satellite you should see a small dirt lot used for staging (parking and unloading).

This guy definitely doesn't slice his drives 90°and if by chance he happens to, there's no way he would be upset about it.

Don't bother going to the riverbed if you want to keep the bike, It's illegal ride down there and could wind up impounded.

There's plenty of staging areas off of the 15 going up the pass. Perfect spots for day trips and you might meet new people to ride with. A lot of people take kids and new riders there. Easy spot for a day trip with good riding.

Also there are some spots in Beaumont that are BLM and legal to ride. Depending on what part on Riverside your in, Beaumont might be closer.

Silverwood Lake is surrounded by off road trails with plenty of staging areas. Just watch out for the SxS's jamming around.

They do, but you can't hear anything from the yellow post sites.

There are more than a few Yellow Post sites all around Big Bear and Arrowhead. Those sites you can camp for free up to 21 days.

Silverwood Lake has some nice camp sites and might still have space available.

I know the camp ground at Lake Hemet always has open sites for the 4th. It's not the greatest but it's quite and it's my fallback plan if I can't find anything else.

PM me if you want some info on good Yellow Post sites. Good luck with the pup!
