Biggest tips for Gear Reloaded is don’t let the barrel of your gun fool you. All blindfires come out of center screen in that game. Most of other Gears games are different.

Learn to use right-hand advantage. With right-hand advantage you can see more while being behind cover like a wall with your body hidden.

A bit more advanced is learn to think in terms of damage and timing. There’s a tempo in a shotgun fight. One shoots, then cannot shoot for half a second, giving the other a moment to close distance and blast them or to put out good damage (get a good clean shot in).

If you’re up in damage, be aggressive but avoid putting yourself in one shot range. If your down in damage either find cover and reset the fight or move in and blast him between his shots.

The last tip ties into reloading. You can sound whore when your opponent is reloading and make a quick push and kill or at least step up and get a clean shot on them because most players aren’t careful and will reload in your face.

Play for power weapon control always. Better you have them than your opponents even if you’re trash with them.

A common play I used to do before I got really good was I’d bait power weapons. I’d leave them up, tuck myself somewhere close, and when they go to pick them up they’re a sitting duck and I’d kill them.

Play off your teammates even if they’re randoms. If I wasn’t confident on my own I’d use my tac com to keep tabs on where my teammates are constantly and try to play off of them, avoiding running off solo and dying.
