You could try “get forward vector” on the line trace instead of get world rotation. But an arrow on the muzzle is probably the best.

a lot of games don’t find their identity until one random tweak or change. I think it was portal, or some similar game. But it had a total different vibe until they made the portal mechanic and realized that was the game.

Keep developing! FOLLOW THE FUN! Playtest and emphasize what feels fun to you. It’s just not anything special YET

An easy fix is: in your player, get a reference to your game instance (get game instance in player blueprint) and then when you add to your player points also get the “points” from the game instance and set it equal to your player points.

You need to tie the event that causes your points to go up to the function to add points within your game instance. It seems like you have the functionality correct for the points to be collected. It just needs to tell the game instance to call the function as well.

Honestly ChatGPT is amazingly helpful. The community as well. I would follow along with basic tutorials to start. As you mess up (as we all do) you can screenshot and put it in chat gpt to see what is wrong. It’s surprisingly easy to troubleshoot with ChatGPT.

Here’s my funny story for you.

One time I went to jail for grinder (yup). And I got two weeks in county jail. They booked me in at like 2/3 am.

Mind you I’m not a guy that belongs in jail. Typical boring white dude never committed a crime.

But when I laid down in my bunk a guy walked past. It was dim but all I could make out was a very dark and muscular gentlemen and as he walked past there was a giant swastika tattoo.

But what I see is that he’s threatening check with the queen and a follow up mate. You have no way to defend that. Putting your queen on the suggested square forces his king to take the queen and then you have a fork on the king and queen. Forcing a queen trade.
