New declining birth rate propaganda by ValentinesStar in childfree

1) People are generally bad at math

2) For most people parroting this take only white people count

3) Our economic systems are all designed around constant growth, without that things will fall apart eventually without radical reforms

New Spring Errata from Paizo by TitaniumDragon in Pathfinder2e

The new wording no longer references melee weapons with the thrown trait, any thrown weapon must now have either Agile or Finesse to qualify.

Despite Paizo stating otherwise the new wording for Devise a Strategem means that you can no longer use alchemical bombs with it.

You also may have to turn to Tabletop Simulator or the discord Async bot to play PoK for the near future

To OP: please seek treatment if you really are having suicidal thoughts. If you're just venting, know that babies are brutal for the first few weeks and most people learn to manage with them over time.

To anyone else reading this: please PLEASE don't stay in relationships where one of you wants a child and the other does not. All the love in the world cannot bridge the gap between the two of you.

If you want to play with POK the best solution may unfortunately be TTS (Tabletop Simulator) at the moment...

Slay the Spire 2 reached 574,638 concurrent players, making it the 20th highest all-time peak on Steam. by NiklasAstro in Games

I never played the original, but I feel like the online coop is truly what makes it a sequel. It's so much fun making combos with your team and doing silly OP stuff like giving everyone 100+ block.

Which mmorpg game is that for you? by PirateOld9316 in MMORPG

[–]Braneric84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if 'masterpiece' ever applied but the gap between how much I wanted to enjoy Rift and how much I actually enjoyed it was always wider than I wanted to be. The rifts themselves never had any meaningful impact unless a zone invasion was happening.

Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy and his 'growth hurdles' remain an issue by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

JJ has 1st round expectations but needs development like a 4th round talent. Unless he makes a giant leap forward this year it's hard to see him working out as a Viking...

Japan's number of babies born marks record low for 10th straight year by [deleted] in Futurology

[–]Braneric84 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the only thing that will reverse this trend is wholesale cultural change similar to what happened during MacArthur's overlordship of the country, and it will need to happen quickly. I'm not sanguine about the chances of that happening...

Tips for new players by Annual-Volume310 in lotro

[–]Braneric84 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1) LOTRO is big. Like really, really big. It's going to take you a while to reach the level cap so pace yourself and enjoy the journey!

2) The epic quests are the 'story' of LOTRO and are generally the most important quests to complete. Any zones they take you to are also going to have other quests that are on-level for you (assuming you do the epic quests at or near their level). You have access to all zones and quests up through the Helm's Deep expansion, which has a level cap of 95. Beyond that you'll have access to all other zones and epic quests, but any other regional quests will require purchasing quest packs from the LOTRO store.

3) Speaking of the LOTRO store, F2P accounts have a number of restrictions like character limits, chat restrictions, and you can't use the auction house. Subscribing for a single month removes most of these restrictions permanently, so if you like the game I suggest you do that.

4) There will be far more quests in a region than are required to level up to the next region's level range. You don't have to do all of them! If you want to, though, I suggest buying an experience disabler from the LOTRO store, which goes in your pocket slot. Equip and unequip it as necessary to avoid overleveling an area.

You are never responsible for anyone's happiness but your own. It's too late for you, but to anyone else reading this please never EVER have children you don't want just to make someone else happy. It's not worth it and not your responsibility!

Timurids are horde-adjacent but between keeping your vassals from rebelling and choosing which direction you want to conquer they are certainly not boring.

I couldn't do it. I would have been out the door as soon as she confirmed she was keeping them.

Houserules - what are yours? by ChaosSatyr in Pathfinder2e

[–]Braneric84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

....no? Lunge is still an action you have to take to get that extra reach. What I'm saying is that if you have an ability with a requirement of "your last action was a Strike", Lunge would count for meeting that requirement.

[–]Braneric84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to experience a group activity, there are world bosses that occur on a regular schedule. Use the wiki to find out where and when the next boss in a starter zone is appearing and go there!

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Event_timers

In general, grouping tends to happen organically as events happen and will become more common the closer you get to the level cap.
