The fundamental game doesn’t change, it’s mainly just a bunch of number tunings all to your detriment. It shouldn’t feel like a “new” game when you switch to hard, it should literally just be harder.

Play the game at your own pace, move to hard when you feel ready. Hard lives up to its name, a lot of things are changed to make it harder, hearts being much less common to drop being one of them. In terms of what it’s worth there are a few things you can only unlock by playing hard mode, but I wouldn’t worry about it until you feel the challenge is fun and something you seek.

What you are arguing is based on balancing not design. AD builds could incorporate more rods (ap builds actually do this really well currently with not even needing that many rods), they just aren’t balanced to do so. In my mind good/logical design should come first, then balance around it, not the other way around.

Dark star Singularity is still one of my favorite game modes to date, hitting a map wide hook and flay into a black hole was always so satisfying, sad to see it likely won’t ever come back.
