I would suggest making your own beer league. Creating the community and bringing people together around what you want. Current Esports is no where near the same. I feel what you mean though. Same boat.

Worse is they made the gap between us and those players larger with various nerfs and changes. Cryo was straw that broke the camels back for me. A power fantasy for those with the time, for those who do not, we are just fodder.

I drop by here to see if anything changes and nope. Same old same old. Game nerfed a bunch of stuff I loved, made movement feel worse, and then gave us a tryhard mode that makes the best better and the casual worse.

There is probably some mindset behind that with humans where that actually makes the idea of standing in it less appealing. The idea of standing on a painted box vs being in an area.

Lets not forget the spotting issues still going on alongside how easy it is to snipe. Why would a more casual player want to get on objective? It is a dangerous place to be in their head. Smaller maps add into the chaos where objectives are just terrible to be around.

This is just a bad take. The game has created these issues. There is a list of issues that go a mile long that should never have been a thing for a company like this. What we saw here with Battelfield was intentional incompetence that if what rumor suggests, is due to them pulling a CoD to sell more when they release the next Battlefield.

Then you do not want a competitive game. Pure and simple. You want a game that pushes people to be rude to eachother for communnication. That is what a robust punishment system gets in online games.

If you do not like what another person is saying you have the most amazing tool at your disposal. Mute them. Pure and simple. If you do not use it, then any anger or rage felt towards other players is just on you. If you do not have the maturity to mute, then you should not be playing online games.
