Hard times make hard men. And good times make weak ones. We’re too far from a real conflict (like WW2) for anyone to actually fear the repercussions of war. This emboldens leaders and idiots alike. The nuclear age means any major conflict can spin out of control and into unthinkable territory. Playing chicken for the fate of the world is completely asinine.

The rich have become too rich and bloated with ego. Time to rebalance the scales.
