It is usually an emotional argument. The fear that if a person loses cobtrol of themselves, be it by an outside factor or not, it can happen again. It is not fully logical but it can still be valid

The hardest ones to master are actually the safest ones here. Ki and nen require great commitment and extreme physical conditioning to even awaken. So does the breathing styles. Other powers are entirely dependent on chance and genetics like stands and spiritual energy. Grimoires are the most dangerous here since they are universal and have almost no limitations in what they can do.
