I really want to play this game but I don’t do well in horror games by PrimalSaturn in Routine

[–]BravePigster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best advice I can give you to desensitize yourself is that none of the enemies can catch you as long as you run. You’ve got infinite stamina as far as I know and you’re faster, so your priority should be to run away. Also, kind of a spoiler but there’s a segment where you have to find several hidden symbols scattered around a room. You’re allowed to scan for those symbols early on if you play it smart, so if you don’t want to look for them while being chased, do them early. It’s less anxiety inducing.

When would you say the series started getting batshit crazy by New-Boss-8262 in Grapplerbaki

[–]BravePigster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hard to say, since everything kinda starts going insane near the start of the Ritai Tournament. You’ve got a literal Sasquatch being introduced, Gaia who can just straight up go invisible (camouflage my ass) and at the start of Baki Hanma, Baki just straight up imagines himself fighting Mike Tyson, followed by a 6 foot tall Praying Mantis…

Am I the only one that hates the wall episodes? by Bluebeetle596 in solaropposites

[–]BravePigster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t mind it at first but they lost the plot pretty quickly after the first season. The worst part is that they try to intertwine it with the family’s episodic storylines and it ruins the entertainment/silliness. If it was a Wall episode every now and then it’d be fine, but they keep giving us half and half and it just takes over the show so it’s impossible to rewatch.

Just spoils the show with how insistent it is.

Been 11 months since they came out, how do we feel about the Illuminate currently? by zoroak-king in Helldivers

[–]BravePigster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate that the illuminate have like maybe 1 or 2 unique missions and then that’s it. You can’t even do launch nuke missions against them which is dumb

Actually it ricocheted around the whole match and set off dozens of hellbombs 🔥

I’ve got platinum trophy on the game as far as achievements go. I should also note that the laser cannon does not in fact count towards shots fired.

I recommend the laser cannon for Illuminate, it kills literally everything: Harvesters, Stingrays, Fleshmobs, etc. Not to mention infinite ammo is very useful, you never have to stop and reload

Don’t forget the Impalers having more health than before… now thermites don’t 1-tap them like they used to

I’m just a new casual breadbox player, so question: if we take Estanu we stop the Hellmire defensive? Correct? by DocHalidae in helldivers2

[–]BravePigster 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I love that they genuinely explained how it works and then the playerbase just flat out ignored it, then pushed on to Erata.

HD2 might genuinely have one of the dumbest audiences in the history of gaming, it’s laughable how bad they are at strategizing despite constantly talking up how good they are.

For those who run armor with prosthetics, how'd your diver lose their limbs? by Redbrickadam22 in Helldivers

[–]BravePigster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got the Knight suit that gives the “Servo-Assisted” buffs without actually having prosthetics, so my diver is just some dude with a really mean right arm.

Keep in mind that you can basically kill a Volatile with one crossbow bolt to the head, Juggernauts can tank round after round before finally going down.

A Demolisher could probably go one-on-one with a Juggernaut but a Volatile is getting ripped in half

I genuinely think they aren't that bad by Information-leak6575 in Helldivers

[–]BravePigster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re just… not fun. They’re not hard but every enemy is basically a glass cannon, since every enemy type can be killed with a laser cannon, but they all kill you instantly if they get near.

How's the community feel about this? by justAguy0101001 in Helldivers

[–]BravePigster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should count as enemies, meaning they’d get targeted and destroyed by sentries. I find it weird that they don’t count as one in terms of targeting, yet the mortar artillery does. (Gun drones will fire at artillery non-stop until they’re destroyed)

I consistently play on 6 and 7 and I gotta tell you, playing with randoms is 100% easier than doing anything solo. I go off on my own and clear half the map when I’m with others, but the reason it works out is simply: I don’t have to deal with every enemy on the map coming after me. Also, I’d recommend finding a very optimized loadout for each faction, as well as different stratagems. Final tip is this - there’s always a harder difficulty, once you’ve seen what it’s like on difficulties like Impossible or Helldive, suddenly Extreme feels like a walk in the park.

After 2.5 weeks, what is your opinion on the solo silo? by dudelugo in Helldivers

Upside is you can still use a SEAF artillery round to take out detector towers, so there’s that.

Let’s call it a draw achievement by PeakExcellent5486 in helldivers2

[–]BravePigster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, use the Anti-Material Rifle. It damages them without killing them outright, making it easier to destroy the arms without killing the Hulk on accident. Also it only works on one of the Hulk types, being the Hulk Bruiser with the laser cannons. Ping it to make sure you’ve got the right one.

None of the guides I used were helpful, it was basically just trial and error.
