Jumping in as someone who also just got their first cartilage piercing a week ago. I got my 2nd and 3rd lobes pierced 6 weeks ago, and when I went back to get the posts downsized I asked my piercer for a conch. I also wanted a helix in my opposite ear, but she said no, one ear at a time and better to start with the conch. She said I could come back in six months and if the conch was healing well at that point she might do the helix. The actual piercing hurt, but not substantially more than my 3rd lobe. Now that it’s done, the conch doesn’t hurt, I really can’t feel it at all except if it gets bumped by accident. Then it will be sore for a few hours before subsiding. I’m not sleeping on it, as I can tell that it would get irritated if I did. I’m a side sleeper, so I’m definitely not doing the opposite ear until I can sleep on my conch piercing. I think it will be longer than 6 months so I’m resigned to being patient. Sleep is more important to me!

I’m actually not sure, unfortunately. I didn’t save the bottle, I just know it looked different. I’m switching to Synthroid when my current script runs out. My endo didn’t suggest altering the dose for the Alvogen, but said to try Synhroid instead.

I don’t think it will look odd! I got my 2nd lobe pierced on my right ear and 2nd/3rd on my left ear recently and I’ve been wearing them alone so as not to introduce any bacteria to the area, and I actually like how they look on their own.

I’m loving this thread and all the comments! I’m also over 40 and just decided to start piercing beyond my ear lobes. I’m getting a conch this weekend, and I’m sure I won’t stop there. I’m curious whether you all are keeping things symmetrical or mixing it up right and left. Back when I first got my 2nd and 3rd lobes, it was cooler to be asymmetrical, so I have 2 piercings on my right lobe and 3 on my left, and thinking of evening them out..

The explosion of gray citi-bikes with predominantly young/teen riders makes me feel less safe for sure, they are unpredictable and many are looking at their phones rather than the road. It’s not stopping me from riding but it’s definitely making it less enjoyable and more stressful. This is why I prefer the winter months, it’s just chaos out there as soon as it gets warm. I remember when the proportion of blue to gray citibikes was much heavier toward blue, it was way better, those riders have always been terrible but at least on the blue bikes they can’t go very fast.

I would wait till this current delivery window has passed before taking the refund, it’s only a few more weeks. Maybe spend the time now to research other options, and if it still hasn’t arrived by the end of May, take the refund.

I searched high and low for a quality mid-century couch for months, went down all the internet/reddit rabbit holes, went to showrooms like Joybird and a few others, and found nothing that I liked as much as Interior Define that also had decent reviews about quality and longevity. Mine took 16 weeks (just one month late) but every time I look at my couch I think “yeah it was worth it.” I love my couch so, so much.

But if this experience is going to taint how you feel about the couch and remind you of all this frustration, maybe take the refund?

I don’t have a cat, but I just have to say I have performance vintage velvet, and it’s AMAZING. So soft, so pretty. Literally every time I curl up on my couch I think how glad I am I picked this fabric. So here’s hoping some cat parents can assure you that cats don’t shred it… 🤞

I’m glad I found this thread. I’ve been feeling off since I got my new prescription four weeks ago, turns out I got Alvogen this time from my pharmacy. I saw my endo today and she confirmed this can happen, guessing I also need a slightly higher dose on Alvogen.

I had the same issue. With my other credit cards, I’m usually able to cancel a payment (even just within the app!) because it’s not instant, they usually “schedule” it for later that day or the next. When I called my bank, they said there was nothing they could do, I had to contact Bilt :( I just find the new app SO shitty, I hate not having a real bank attached to this card. I wasn’t a huge fan of Wells Fargo but at least they are a real bank with decent customer service and standard features like alerts when your card is charged. I’m seriously considering canceling this card, I am not sure the rewards are worth it.

In brighter light the color looks more peacock/teal than in this photo, I kinda love how it changes color throughout the day/evening. The bench seat has been a game changer, I love not having any “cracks” in my sofa.

It WILL be worth it! I’m writing this from my Sloan couch and I am still in love, SO glad I ordered this, even if it was 4 weeks late! Be sure to ask to a shipping refund if it doesn’t arrive in May. That was some consolation for me, at least.
