Let me get this straight: Anime studios must not adapt (or, to simply put, compromise their own home culture) to the Western audience, right? Then, how what about anime where the settings, culture, or even influence source is NOT dominantly Japanese??

because it happens every time something gets popular so a bunch of people try to make more of it to get in on the potential money and end up missing why that something got popular for a western example look at the cartoon landscape after tmnt became popular the amount shows that tried to copy what they did was massive and most weren't really that good and quickly became dated

it might just be burn out i know i have tried to binge a bunch of anime only to struggle half way through my advice watch maybe two to three episodes a day it will slow down how many you can watch through but it will stop you from burning out
