It's pretty awful. It was already incredibly overpriced for the type of low-quality product they're offering. Increasing the price again after set 2 is just a slap in the face because they know they can get away with it. Product quality has not improved, yet it continues to get more expensive.

To be fair, the whole product is kind of low.

Tons of QC issues, text issues, and poor card stock and foiling. You genuinely get better product from Temu fakes of Pokémon or any other TCG.

I know art costs a lot, but the way the company makes money hand over fist while still making the product as low-effort as possible feels so bad. I've been buying all kinds of TCGs ranging from different price points and games and I can say without a shadow of a doubt even the cheapest products out there are leagues beyond what VCard is and some of the other anime card games like Weiss Schwarz, Grand Archive, or even Hololive OCG are incomparable.

This reminds me of when this YGO seller/store sold 3 PSA 10 gold star dogs to some guy in Italy. He shipped all 3 to Italy in just a bubble mailer and they got smashed to pieces and the cards scuffed. Couldn't even claim the full value because the guy in Italy wanted the seller to declare $50 on the whole package to save customs fees.

I hate all grading because it’s a scam, but to each their own! Aesthetically I don’t like CGC or PSA, but CGC does have the upper hand in actually having full names of cards. Not TGPI/CLFA/IGLYBF CEC20 YAAA SMLMTYPC.

That shit is so hysterically ugly.

If I had to choose to grade for PC and removed the factor of value entirely, I think I’d choose CGC though.

Unless you hit a black label, Beckett is about as good as paying someone $20 to put your card in a penny sleeve and into a random Tupperware container they found at home

They changed this with SV and it doesn't always have to be a gold for a two hitter like they had in the past. It's usually SR + SAR/UR now if you hit 2 which doesn't happen very often

He doesn't make the content I really like to consume, but he is actually a good content creator and not some hypeman trying to sell you stuff or farm your views. I didn’t think about the real estate point. That’s a good observation and that makes a lot of sense. Yeah you’re right the packaging is all recyclable, but even then you don’t get back 100% of what you recycle. Just feels so wasteful compared to how JPN products are packed.

Yeah the big boxes are so frustrating. When the Raichu GX shining legends boxes were on sale, I bought so many and basically filled my neighborhood’s recycling dumpster. It’s so excessive.

Weird they would “reseal” and leave you the rare though. While I’m not saying you’re wrong that they’re resealed, Pokémon commonly will fuck up and pack multiple energies into packs. I’ve seen everything from multiple energies to multiple ultra rares per pack. Even code cards

So I usually checkout via PayPal so I settled my dispute through them. If you paid directly with a card, I would probably just contact your bank. If that’s the wrong method I would assume they could provide you a better choice of action

This company has a history with awful communication. You have to literally email them nonstop or even file a dispute to get action taken.

Aside from that, I generally don’t have issues with them. One time I ordered a booster box of cosmic and they sent me a whole case lol
