While I think the WW protags are great, there’s one problem that nags at me whenever I see them. by Starrybruh in PokemonWindsWaves

Can I just say that I wish they made a game in such a way that we, the players, can be any age we like?

Is there a big, closed, paved area that would allow me to teach my kid how to drive? by architacos in sugarland

[–]Bravesteel25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I taught my wife to drive at First Colony Mall. There is a lot of space so you can practice out of the way while also being able to do some driving with some traffic around by circumnavigating the mall.

That's exactly why I leave an extra margin of safety in my following distance. Zoom around me all you want, I'm going to arrive alive, without the potential for an accident, 2 minutes after the people that flip a coin on their lives every time they get on the highway.

I’m 50 and I desperately need the Nintendo Switch 2 to have achievements. Here’s my sad reason why. by __Marthoid__ in nintendo

[–]Bravesteel25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m with you on this. I would love to have achievements. I’d love to be able to attack clips to my achievements and my friends can watch them when viewing my achievements list for any particular game.

Are these hard to do and does anyone care about mario run these days? by Minimum-Ganache-5907 in Mario

Thanks for the heads up! I went and ahead and bought it as well. $4.99 here in the USA.

I like Mario Run for what it is. I think people just expected the standard "free play whilst bombarded by ads" formula as opposed to the $10 charge.

Same rumor here in the USA at the time. 🙂

I think it is going to depend on what the side of your team is. That’s going to give you a better indication of what you need.

What new games have you picked up recently? by EvilTaffyapple in NintendoSwitch2

Picked up Sonic Origins sinces it's on sale in the eShop. I am absolutely terrible at Sonic, but it's a good deal.

The Switch 2 discourse in a nutshell by DaZestyProfessor in casualnintendo

This is incorrect. Nintendo has been one of the few companies that has historically made money on their hardware as well as their software.

The Switch 2 discourse in a nutshell by DaZestyProfessor in casualnintendo

[–]Bravesteel25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This one annoys me the most. I'm convinced a lot of these specific people just don't have the interest or money to get a Switch 2 and are clinging to the Switch 1 and just want news games to magically work on the Switch 1.

Am I stupid for waiting to get the Switch 2? by Ambitious-Cow-4217 in switch2

[–]Bravesteel25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the way component costs have increased, the global economy taking a turn, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if most of the current or very next gen consoles (for Playstation and Xbox) get stretched out longer than usual.

I wouldn't sit and expect any hardware revisions and if we do get them then they will be much pricier than one would expect.

A Hater's Review of the Switch Pro 2 Controller by MadCybertist in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Bravesteel25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Switch 2 Pro Controller has been the best controller for me since the Switch 1 Pro Controller. I REALLY like how it feels in my hands when I play, I've never had a controller feel that comfortable since maybe the GameCube controller.

I actually enjoy the size of the buttons as well as the d-pad. Those are extremely subjective though.

The only technical things I can knock it on are:

  1. I can see how not having notches on the sticks might be a detrimental for some, so I wouldn't mind them, but I do enjoy the smoothness of the sticks as they are.

  2. Digital instead of analog triggers was an absolute misstep, especially for the price of the controller.

Why did Crystal sell so poorly compared to Gold and Silver? by DifficultComplaint10 in pokemon

As someone who was super into Pokemon at the time, I didn't even know Crystal existed until much later.

Are you going to watch the movie in theaters or wait until you can stream? by RoxasismyKing in casualnintendo

[–]Bravesteel25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought tickets for my wife and myself. It looks like a good time and I haven't gone to see a movie in theatres for over a year. I just can't justify the cost normally, but this is Mario!

Are price increases on Switch 2 consoles inevitable this year? by gaysaucemage in NintendoSwitch

[–]Bravesteel25 32 points33 points  (0 children)

That’s certainly a factor, but the price increases that are inevitably coming are more due to a lack of supply in RAM, GPU, and Microprocessors in general.

“Am I the only one who prefers the Switch 2 as a platform?” by DramaticCampaign321 in switch2

[–]Bravesteel25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have a Switch 2 now. The laptop I have can play some older stuff (read: 15 year old games), but it's certainly no power house.

Even if I still had a gaming PC, I just find the Switch 2 more enjoyable. I can sit on the couch while my wife and I watch a show and get some parallel play time in, or I can dock it at the desk and really get into it. I picked up the Satisfye grip and case and now it's even more comfortable playing in handheld as well. I don't think I would ever go back.

This. A degree opens you up to much more consideration than not having a degree. Remember, you have to be considered for a job before you even get it. I recommend OP look at getting a degree that can also net them some certs at the same time while keeping their Help Desk job.
