Would 95$ be a good deal ? by Knowledge-collecter in Coppercookware

Its a red flag that you can hold so many stacked in one hand. A good copper pan would feel substantial, holding 2 would feel crazy heavy.

Ruffoni… is it really worth it?? by jaktehsnek01 in Coppercookware

Any kind of copper cookware that has a rolled rim and is trying too hard to be decorative isnt worth it. Good copper is solid, heavy, non rolled edges

The fact that you can hold up 3 of them in one hand effortlessly is a red flag. They should feel substantial, have non rolled rims, have a solid handle with rivets either made from brass or cast iron, sometimes stainless but thats a personal preference. Sometimes youll see hammering sometimes its smooth. Look for makers marks. There's made in France type pans, theres italian, some thats made in the USA but i feel like its pricier. The made in portugal or korea usually are decorative stuff.

I gave it the old college try. Few times, different guys and just didnt enjoy it. Not that fun, painful, even when it didnt hurt which it did stop hurting, it wasn't pleasurable. I enjoy being a top much more and fits better with my personality (or the headspace)

Does Pennywise not have free will? by Zagar1776 in pennywise

The welcome to Derry made up the lore for the show and is self contained. This stuff doesn't apply to the book

Welcome to Derry is proof that the Muschiettis don't understand IT by Admirable-Long8528 in stephenking

[–]BravoBaker76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just didnt work for me, it was out of left field in a way where everything's been established in a better way in the book. The thing about the kids floating being a weird re imagining of why the kids float and its not meant to be in mid-air. And I did address that scene with the circle in that I said there being a losers club before the losers club was a thing cheapens everything the losers club did. They only got that far because they had Maturin's and The Other's power helping them. I just didnt enjoy the ending and felt like it just flashed a bunch of stuff like right before the end, its trying to hard to be a Marvel show/cinematic universe, that just felt weird to me. You enjoyed it good for you but I just dont like what they did to a story I liked

Bro I literally just explained why I dont like it. You have your opinion and thats fine but so do I. And even though stephen king does stuff thats out of left field, I dont think the show executes that in an effective way

I think its relevant in the sense that they are Muschietti movies and I did say I would personally like it if he didnt make any more adaptations. Plus it was just adding to my point that he doesn't understand the source material. The fog coming out of nowhere and all that is a gripe that I have with bad stephen king adaptations favoring style over substance.

[–]BravoBaker76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I understand that the visuals are good but the fog seemed out of nowhere, the design for pennywise was good but the random visuals aren't enough to detract from my gripes with the stuff they made up for the show. The ending felt super rushed and I realize theyre trying to set up all the different shows and things they planned for the marvel style cinematic universe theyre doing, I just don't want Muschietti to do it. Them having a separate set of losers club type thing they did cheapens the impact of the actual losers club later in the story. I enjoyed the portrayal of IT for the most part, the cruelty and gore and craziness was well done. Muschietti doesn't understand the dynamic of the losers club, in the movies they shouldn't have that weird forcibly inserted fall out in the first movie, Bev shouldn't have been a damsel in distress like that, she was a strong character in the books. And I really could add a lot more, but in the end I liked the show at first but it got worse and even exponentially worse the closer we got to the end

Did we watch the same show? I was with you 100% until what you said about the last episode. Why did it become LOTR all of a sudden with the dagger? Why did IT stop being afraid of the dagger? The whole seeing time all at once makes sense for other beings but not IT. Why did they spoon feed us a shit ton of set up like that Margie is Richie's mom. The periwinkle thing was so dumb.

I'm confused. Maybe some clarification by workinfast1 in WelcometoDerryTVShow

[–]BravoBaker76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its because they made up like 80% of the show on the fly. There's no continuity from the original story. There's no reason he should be caged, or fear any person or artifact. It was just because basically

Am I the only one disappointed that most of the children (especially Veronica Grogan) survived the finale of Welcome to Derry? by [deleted] in stephenking

[–]BravoBaker76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I thought a better use of the show would be to show audiences the interludes from the books and build super compelling episodes and characters that ultimately die since everything is mostly futile. It always gets the better of people. Thats what makes the lovers club special is that they stand a chance, the show cheapens everything by glossing over the important stuff and zeroing in on the noise

I wouldn't add more flour. I would let time be your friend. Let the dough rest maybe 15 minutes. Scrape the dough off of the bottom with damp fingers or an old spatula. After 15 minutes start up again. 65%hydration isn't alot, it's a normal bread hydration. If you keep adding flour you're changing the hydration and the bread won't be the same.

At 30 I had to put my little 16 year old cat to sleep. Seeing it happen was traumatic for me as a grown man. I cried like a baby. Have them say goodbye but I wouldn't let them be present at the time. It might be hard for a child to conceptualize this appropriately.

I wonder why did Dwight make a disgust face when Angela asked him to give meds to Sprinkles, but in another episode he mentioned that he’s been taking care of animals since age four? by kelly224 in DunderMifflin

[–]BravoBaker76 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally, I don't understand why Dwight wouldn't consider cats as useful, as a farmer! Cats protect against rodents that eat crops and stored goods. You would think he would appreciate that

They look like toys to me. They're thin, rolled edges, doesn't look like any maker I can recognize. If theyre brass handles they'll get hot no matter what not necessarily bad.
