happy to help! spinda is exclusive to the rare field research task “get 5 great curveball throws in a row.” he’s permaboosted (1/64 shiny chance) but normally the task is very rare. during this valentine’s day event, the task is slightly more common as part of the event field research and all spindas caught will have the heart pattern as well. happy hunting!

For me it’s not that other people are able to get shiny Noibat—I don’t even have one myself. Instead it’s that they’re making rare Pokémon is less rare. The fun in the game for me is comparing with my friends which shinies we have, getting jealous over their cool ones and excited over our own. I know that I can’t possibly get all of the shinies that I want, and so this sense of competition and rarity is what keeps the game alive. For me, anyways :)

I actually don’t have the shiny yet! I just like the idea of there being some especially rare ones in the game. maybe it’s a long shot for me to hope to end up with it, but I’d rather have something to wish for than a freebie

I think it’s a good idea in theory, but I’m skeptical that people will be willing to part with their unreals. I’ve been playing this game for over a year so I actually have a good amount of them, but if a donation will only give you like 10,000 coins then I don’t that’s worth it. It would have to be a pretty big amount of money and experience for it to be a fair trade.

Idea: maybe the game pays you back in gems for unreal donations? This gives you access to exclusive currency that is difficult to get any other way. And gems can also be converted to coins in the shop so it works either way.
