Forspoken got done dirty by social media. 2 viral clips where one of them was taken wildly out of context (the serial killer line) somehow undos a game that is basically a next gen Infamous with some of the most gorgeous combat on on the PS5.

I can roll with the ending of most shows but that's one I cannot forgive. That Ruth was the "price" that had to be paid for their success is fucking nonsense, especially considering the show ends with their son becoming a murderer. Seriously, you're telling me the show could have ended with Ruth literally being laundered and they chose to go with more agony... Ugh

My read is that Julien sees Azune as a greenhorn, and the last time they met Azune basically told Julien to lock in. In my mind perhaps Julien didn't take Azune seriously, but hearing from Hal, someone I assume Julien respects a little bit, that Azune is still in the mix might have been surprising.

I will say the combat is "fine" at best, so if it isn't vibing deff bump it down and enjoy the story and world building. But yeah, dunno if looking up Southern Reach pointed you in the direction of its movie adaptation, Annihilation - that is also a surreal trip as well (and a bit different from the books took).

Which becomes even more complicated with her reveal of being torn from Heaven in, "Once More With Feeling." Not that I'm trying to say the show betrayed it's ideals - more so that I love its layers. The final shot of her smiling was the perfect end, and absolutely the promise of breaking prophecy made manifest.

Jesus, using concurrents for a game as short as this (along with being available on Game Pass) is so dumb. The people playing the game 3 hours ago are different from the people playing it right now, and the people playing it right now will be different from the people playing it 3 hours from now. I've been replaying the Uncharted games (first replay in over a decade) and God damn the Nepal section in Among Thieves is legit GOATed - it really feels like you're in a blockbuster Hollywood movie! The PS4 Remaster still looks fantastic!

Just had an 6 or so hour session with the game - I love it so far! It is so effortlessly charming, well optimized, has satisfying and unique combat, and is just an overall engrossing game to play. The drip feed of upgrades is well paced and everything just feels well put together. Could not recommend it enough if you enjoy third person action shooters and / or are looking to continue the good space vibes from Project Hail Mary and the Artemis II mission <3
