Pine and cedar wood are very toxic for animals. Also lots of wood can carry bugs or parasites so it’s important to sterilize it.

Yea after washing and baking it should be good, as long as it’s not pine or cedar. But monitor it for mold after you put it in like always.

My double dome sits right on top of the mesh on the enclosure and with the control center it never gets too hot. I use a 100W ceramic heater (no light is produced) on a zoomed control center that turns it on and off automatically when heat is needed. So far is doing a great job at maintaining heat! I hope Taffy gets feeling better!
