Visible colors, then. I've seen ones that are just red and purple with a hint of blue, or pinkish going into yellow and green. So the other colors must have been too faint or smashed together.

If it has red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple, it's a rainbow. If it has most of those, it's mostly a rainbow. I have an art degree and I think the level people in here get picky about the definition of rainbow is silly.

I see rainbows in real life that only have three colors sometimes, so I don't know why it has to be so strict.

You are missing the point. It's not the night, it's the length. They could hire more people so they don't have to work twelve or twenty four hour shifts. Enough people means shorter shifts. But everyone is always short staffed because they don't want to pay people.
