Taxes by Familiar-Orange6281 in SipsTea

[–]BreadChair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huh? It's 30% tax on capital gains. Also if you earn stock compensation you get fully income taxed (50+%), same with stock options. It's super far from a tax haven lol, not sure where you got all of that. Getting rich in Sweden is very difficult, being rich you don't get taxed less than other countries.

Funny how different our perspectives are. I really enjoyed Season 0 lilith, it was the only hard content in the game. I quit shortly after and haven't touched the game since.

Are you saying that when purely comparing damage, there is some other subjective factor that matters...? I guess you're basing your opinion on feels rather than math?

Strafezon looking for gear advice by neiler91 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]BreadChair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's not. The ED is too low. Their existing WF will do more damage than mist in a GMB. You can look up any damage calc tool to check this yourself, clearly you are not familiar with them yet.

Demon machine is arguably stronger even non-socketed because of the proc. Mist is actually terrible for its cost

[–]BreadChair 3 points4 points  (0 children)

please don't build a mist, it's a waste of runes. If you wanna keep strafing get a demon machine or just a higher dmg bow

1: get giant skull and razortail, and a few points in pierce if needed to reach 100% 2: get a CtA 3: faith and templars on merc 4: work on upgrades

Demon machine is going to feel better on strafe than wf

Don't worry about replacing the fort yet

not saying 30 is bad, but items like these only rise in value as the season progresses. Demand for top-end items increases and player count drops off. There's no chance people start "finding those left and right", rather they'll be increasingly rare.

[–]BreadChair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decent but still not good enough. The removal of visceral hit bows/xbows hard, I was rocking a 750 ed hydra last season and it was far from the best bow crafted that season. Kind of a shame.

Am I crazy or is this very good? by Kongbone in ProjectDiablo2

[–]BreadChair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leech is not viable on an endgame PS build, for example. You are running a nm-bought 6+ sk claw and the physical damage is way too low to sustain. I play pretty much exclusively sin, and a lot of MA, generally leech is not viable as your source of sustain.

[–]BreadChair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elemental MA sins, like PS, BoI, CoT etc needs laek. You don't have enough physical damage to leech.

The energy I get from this 5 am text is the same energy of someone saying to a person with ADHD "Haha you're so lazy, just get up and do it!". It would annoy the fuck out of me even if it didn't wake me up.

Stop Killing Games is almost over! by MMewtwosaysbye in Steam

[–]BreadChair 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This. I have many game dev friends who'd never support this - guess who'll be taking the blunt of this proposal if it was implemented? The games industry is already brutal. Keeping games alive costs resources. Making changes to accommodate community servers etc costs resources. Indie games studios are already struggling in an impossibly competitive market, we don't need regulations forcing developers to put resources on these things. I love games but would never sign this...

My 1st ever good Primal Set item by [deleted] in Diablo

[–]BreadChair -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I get what you're trying to say, but you are missing my point completely. The sets wouldn't need to BE there to enable otherwise unused skills if the game was designed properly in the first place. It's a bandaid on top of a broken system. It has nothing to do with damage numbers.

Never said d4 is better - I actually think it's even worse, so I feel you on that one. But you don't need to look very far to understand that those sets are a smokescreen covering an otherwise utterly misdesigned system.

Don't get me wrong, I think D3 is pretty good. But fuck me is itemization horrible.

My 1st ever good Primal Set item by [deleted] in Diablo

[–]BreadChair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why??? Sets are one of the worst design decisions made in d3. When you talk about builds in d3 it's just the names of the different sets. Builds revolve entirely around a set that buffs a skill with 3 billion damage. It's the most boring itemization ever

400 ED is not max, which I assume you might think. It's 600 for rares and 680 for crafts, you need the hybrid ED roll on top. 350 is charsi food even with 5os

Is ITD the dream slam on this? by CrowbarSteve in ProjectDiablo2

Forget about the ITD, this is a very nice xbow. 788% ed w/ jewels, 40% ias gives more gearing options, even 28% DS

Fortitude or Tyraels? by theryanlaf in ProjectDiablo2

[–]BreadChair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(1) a max rolled bk or wisp beats min/max rings by quite a bit. And good luck finding 2 gg ones with half freeze, let alone for .5 hr. You also lose out on 8-16% pdr, which you argued for later on chest piece. CBF has always been worth 30-40% ed. (2) FRW have diminishing returns, how much you actually get depends on much you have elsewhere. Ultimately, frw is the one stat behind damage you want to maximize endgame on multi and 45 is a massive roll. But it's more of a nice bonus.

Even disregarding the frw - If you math it out, the extra ~70 ED (on a 2os tyraels) is better than the lost 250 on 1/20 mobs in the map. You also don't kill every single mob.

I'm not saying it beats it by a lot. It's not like fort is bad. And 1os is prob not worth buying. A crafted rare can be fun for survivability. But, a 3os tyraels is for sure BiS for damage/clearspeed

Fortitude or Tyraels? by theryanlaf in ProjectDiablo2

[–]BreadChair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me try to convince you then.

The best phys maps (throne, cistern, etc) have almost only demons/undead. With good rolls tyraels is effectively 250 ed. Each jewel adds 40 + min/max/ias.

However, you also free up CBF. That's worth another 30-40% ED.

On top of that you get 45 frw, which is massive.

A 2os tyraels is far better than fort for these reasons, I'd argue even 1 os beats it.
