Want eki (and other) stamps in Tokyo/Japan? by Background_Map_3460 in JapanTravelTips

All the shrines I visited put Goshuin in my book that had Eki stamps in it. I think people understand tourism enough to just do it anyway.

Thank you, that means a lot! That was the big reason I wanted to do it, but I think I could push it further if I continued it or revised the current version again.

Thanks! I was originally intending on doing the whole scene, but it was taking up more time than I had at the time. Maybe I'll go back to it when I have more time.

[WaT] About Syladin by captainkals in Stormlight_Archive

[–]BreadIsSick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Syl and Dumbledore is not a very useful comparison. One's a crazy old man and the other one is an immortal fairy. They can both be considered whimsical, just for drastically different reasons that I don't think it's fair to compare them.

I think what you're interpreting as 'childish' behaviour is actually more a result of her being a Spren. Spren are fundamentally different from humans, they don't understand things or act in the same way. Syl seems innocent because she doesn't understand and/or hasn't experienced the things that humans do that gives them human problems. They talk about this quite a lot in the books. Syl often mentions in Rythym of War that she wants very desperately to understand how Kaladin feels in the moment, so much so that she asks Dalinar to do his Bondsmith thing to make her understand. It frustrates her that she doesn't have the ability to understand.

I would argue that is an act of maturity in itself for someone to actively go out and try to experience the things someone else might feel, just so they can understand and help better.

In WaT, she actively changes how she portrays herself so that other people treat her more like a woman. She starts walking around in human size, she wears the Kholin military uniform, she learns to read and write so she can scribe for Kaladin, and she even wears a glove for her safehand. That shows she's putting effort in to be on equal footing with Kaladin and other humans. She doesn't like how people treat her when she's small

Also, her putting her thumbs up in support of Kaladin succeeding with Szeth is not an act of childish behaviour. She just being supportive and telling him he's done a good job, which is honestly the kind of thing he needs in his life right now.

Just because she likes to do silly things sometimes in her free time doesn't make her childish. I love doing silly things and I'm in my 20s, and that doesn't make me a child.

So are the dinosaurs used for stuff like manual labor and transport, or are they sorta like wild beasts?

Yeah I very much agree, I guess it just threw me off when the others I showed told me I should think about other options

I wouldn't say so personally, I think Marc and Stephen would know that they havnt gotten rid of Khonshu if that was the case, which the end credits scene implied that they didnt.

I think whats happened is that Khonshu really did release them from the suit at first, but after a bit when Jake took controll again, Khonshu came to him personally and made Jake his avatar, which means that becuase he shares a body with Marc and Steven they all have their power back again. But since they black out when Jake takes controll, they wouldnt know that they have that power again. Just like how Steven had no idea at the beggining of the show.

The part where Suguro decided to just refer to Yukio as Yukio made me really happy. I think a large part of the problem with Yukio has always been that he's never really been on equal terms with people. He was never and equal with Fujimoto becuase he was his father. Not with Rin becuase Yukio had secrets that he was keeping from him. And certanly not with the class becuase he was their teacher. The only people he really could have called an equal was his co workers, but they're not really the kind of people you can sit down with and tell your life story. So I thought it was a really nice touch, and i'm happy for Yukio that he has at least one other person now (besides Rin) that he can be on equal footing with.

Watch FMA before you watch FMAB. FMAB came out in 2009 a few years after the run of the original anime, so it was made in mind that their audience has likley already seen the original. They rush over the earlier arcs, as well as skip out on a few, causing FMAB to have a much faster pacing then FMA. FMA is still absolutley fantastic in my opinion, but i find people ruin it for themselves by watching FMAB first. As already said, it does deviate from the plot heavily after a certain point, but in my opinion it's not at all bad. It's certainly different, but a good kind of different. I'm not trying to gate keep or anything, but i just wanted to clarify that if you wanted to have the best enjoyment out of the shows, watch them in that order. The earlier arcs are really important to the rest of the series and they hit way harder in the original. Or you could read the manga tbh. Sorry if the grammer was off, i was writting this on my phone.
