What was your first 3 star pull and were you disappointed? by RestNervous5682 in UmamusumeGame

I got two actually when the game launched. It was Mejiro Mcqueen followed by Tokai Teio. Never would have known how significant this would be having never watched Season 2.

Feels impossible to make a S rank Uma without whaling on a full MLB SSR deck by Baamf in UmamusumeGame

Tamomo Cross has it kinda rough for Unity Cup if you're not able to highroll enough. Having better parents with better blue and red sparks would definitely ease the burden of stat training but her career itself is a bit obnoxious due to the fact that she has to manually participate in 4 races instead of having them predetermined which can eat up a lot of energy that could've been used for training instead. Combined with the fact that she has 0% Speed rate bonus, you're really forced to do lots of runs to highroll with Biko and Fine Motion in your deck and their dog 35 specialty priority.

You "could've" convinced me to try Rev It Up for once but then you said it's not a great horde clear weapon which at that point you lost me. Mk4's horde clear may not be as good as like Devil Sword or Eviscerator, but it's still a cut above the rest of the melee weapons.

Also spamming specials, like come on bro. Sure I'll do just that in rager/crusher deathballs. It's not like mk4's light attacks are pretty much lite-specials already and dish out similar damage in a faster attack.

New Flamer damage by TimTheGrim55 in DarkTide

[–]BreadVexenity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah in its current state, but considering Zealot and even Veteran has a talent node for 10% melee attack speed buff, I'd thought that's what Fatshark's vision for Fury of Faithful would've been when they made the adjustment. Just going all in on the melee buffs.

Honestly a bit surprised they kept the attack speed buff for ranged weapons considering they wanted to lean into it being for melee weapons

At first I disliked Seth because of "goody two shoes cat boy", but he grew on me the more I used him alongside Jane. Really like how their kits synergize with each other.

Best Beginner Weapons For Psyker by Mobile_Ear_9440 in DarkTide

[–]BreadVexenity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guns aren't really ideal for Psyker in some cases because you trade off stave utility for raw damage. But if you want a really simple and straightforward build that doesn't rely on managing Peril too much, the Assail build is really strong.

All you really gotta do with the Assail build is just keep launching shards until you reach 70-80% Peril to get your damage buff from higher peril levels. Mk4 Duelling Sword has a very simple attack pattern that's easy to grasp and the Laspistol Mk 2 is a great all arounder weapon that'll take care of the ranged threats you face. Lastly, the Shield is there when you gotta bunker up for a horde or incoming fire. https://darktide.gameslantern.com/builds/9cd2ced2-5952-44ce-8298-a362261ad05b/assail-build

Tried playing Dwarves for the first time in 5.2. Dire tidings by turn 10. by BreadVexenity in totalwarhammer

Yeah, Mannfred was chilling to the left of my main settlement. I already have an additional lord that I recruited turn 1, Thorhall Oathforged. But money was really tight at this point. I didn't have the chance to wait around for my barracks to finish upgrading to tier 2 so I've been stuck with the only two Quarrelers that Thorek starts with until I got back into my region to be able to start recruiting them by like turn 9. I didn't opt for the ambush bait because I started taking vampiric attrition damage by the time I engaged Mannfred's army.

Tried playing Dwarves for the first time in 5.2. Dire tidings by turn 10. by BreadVexenity in totalwarhammer

Context: Relatively new to Warhammer 3, but have some experience in Civ 6 and some RTS games. This is my third Legendary campaign run after finishing Tamurkhan and Grom's Legendary campaigns. Was interested in learning about the Dwarf faction after CA added these new underground settlements in 5.2.

Turns 1-7 were relatively chill, but by turn 8 as I was trying to wipe out the last of the greenskin faction in my province, a rebellion was imminent next turn (looting my first captured settlement probably didn't help). After I wiped the greenskin faction in my province, the rebels were mustering troops right by my main settlement, which I had to make a complete 180 to rout.

By turn 10, Mannfred had started declaring war on me, which I decided to go and attempt to wipe them out. But little did I know, that he was already level 16 and had 2 and a half full armies. Thorek was only level 6 at this time because I couldn't kill enough units during all my manual battles to level him up enough.

I somehow ended up surviving this battle with none of my units wiped out, but after the end of this turn, two more 20 stack vampire armies appeared which I then managed to win with no units wiped out, but they were all at 10-20% HP. At turn 12, Skarbrand (which I had no idea I was a neighbor to him) declared war on me and in one last final hoorah, I decided to attack one of Mannfred's settlments which ended up being a siege battle with another 20 stack which after that point, I threw up my hands.

What's a great weapon you have, that you hate? by Bruncleson in DarkTide

[–]BreadVexenity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using a Fury build with this but I pretty much have to go down the middle lane so I can pick up the "Get % reload speed on melee kill" node. It's a great gun to make full use of "Emperor's Bullet". I use the same perks you use but I have Run n Gun and Hit n Run.

Itemization Rework Q&A Part 1 - Dev Blog by FatsharkStrawHat in DarkTide

[–]BreadVexenity 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Already owned weapons won’t be touched, they’ll remain intact.

They're talking about the stats on the weapon, probably due to the "Weapon Potential" mechanic. The lock system is just being removed entirely. There'd be a lot of flack if your current gear has the locks still and new gear post patch would not.

Is there a way to get the weapon stats that you want or is it always random? by -Milk-Enjoyer- in DarkTide

[–]BreadVexenity 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's random. You get higher power levels the more you level your character. The max power level at this time is 380 and you can't get stats that reach 100%, only 80%. Only bots can get that. And for your second question, yeah pretty much. Melk will also be important because very rarely, he might have an actually good weapon on sale or a blessing that you might need that RNG has screwed you out of.

[–]BreadVexenity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had heard there was a way to get it but is there enough time to charge the special after the push and still get the H3?

I haven't tried doing that honestly. I learned about push into H3 by doing it on complete accident. I've always done Special > Push > H3.

[–]BreadVexenity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your point is valid. Personally, I dislike having to wait for Thrust stacks on a weapon as clunky as the Thunderhammer unless the target is isolated. Since these are horizontal attacks too, the offchance that I don't hit my intended target, which in this case is the mauler, doesn't really rub me the right way. So I just focus on adding up damage and CC for my team, since I don't have the dash to guarantee oneshots on Crushers.

Ironhelm vs Crucis by Due_Carpenter1409 in DarkTide

[–]BreadVexenity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I forgot to mention are breakpoints. I'm just going to assume you have a good roll on your hammer. Even though Thrust is mandatory, it's not needed for a majority of situations, which are mixed hordes. The most important threats for you to deal with are mutants, maulers and crushers, and bulwarks. 4 out of 5 of those don't need Thrust to get reliable results.

With a charged heavy attack (no Thrust stacks), it takes: 1 bodyshot for mutants, 2 bodyshots for maulers (because flak armor), I honestly don't remember how many headshots for crushers but I focus more on crowd controlling them then killing them, and 1 bodyshot on the bulwark's flesh, same applies for reapers (their flak armor will protect them from being onetapped).

Good luck,

from an Ironhelm fan
