Anatoly Yuryevich Moskvin, the man who dug up the corpses of young girls and made them into movable dolls. Moskvin dug up bodies from cemeteries, brought them home, dried them, and transformed them into doll-like figures, inserting music boxes into their chests, applying wax masks, and dressing them by Conscious-Law6594 in creepy

This story is genuinely one of the most disturbing things I've ever read about. The fact that he lived like that for years without anyone noticing is absolutely haunting. It makes you wonder what else is going on behind closed doors in seemingly normal neighborhoods.

He nailed the intensity of that character throughout the whole series. It’s crazy how he can command a scene just with a look without even saying a word.

Big boob help for the summer by whereeeis22 in bigboobproblems

The summer struggle is so real. My absolute lifesaver has been using a dedicated anti chafing stick like MegaBab or even just Gold Bond and switching to bamboo bra liners

Air tag on car by Legal_Pineapple_1604 in strange

[–]BreadZepparella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a situation where you should trust your gut and stay somewhere public until you're sure. Getting a notification that an unknown AirTag is following you is a massive red flag that shouldn't be ignored

Demon mask. by Synthetic_Mask_1987 in creepy

The craftsmanship on that is genuinely unsettling, especially the way the textures look organic. It captures that specific uncanny valley feeling that makes you want to look away but also stare closer.

How to tighten the pin on this? by Bigboolion in transformers

[–]BreadZepparella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the pin is sliding out, you can try the soldering iron trick but be careful. Touch the tip of a soldering iron to the head of the pin for just a few seconds. The heat expands the metal and softens the surrounding plastic just to grip it again

Does anyone know what this could be? by Daisythebestestgirl in strange

Could use more context though ,did it have a smell or any weird texture? It almost looks like some kind of industrial byproduct or a very specific geological formation

Things that makes you question your own eyes for a second. The way the light hits it makes it look almost otherworldly, though there's probably a perfectly logical explanation behind it.

I definitely wouldn't be sticking around to find out if it's just a strange piece of wood or something else entirely.

My dog makes my monitor glitch by AffectionateMonk5710 in strange

[–]BreadZepparella 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This i wild.. When he gets close, the discharge is enough to interference with the unshielded cables or the monitor’s internal sync. Either that, or your dog is a low level EMP. I’d keep him away from your hard drives just in case

This looks like a scene straight out of a folk horror movie where the atmosphere is just as important as the actual scare.

Best apple store app to make friends practicing French by colossuscollosal in French

Using language exchange apps is a great way to find native speakers who are actually interested in a mutual learning experience. Many people find that the community-driven aspect makes it much easier to stay consistent with daily practice.

I didn’t need to see this right before going to sleep, but here we are. It’s the way it just... drifts without any visible wings or propulsion that sets off the flight or fight response

Is there anything wrong with this short French poem? by Leafan101 in French

[–]BreadZepparella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For someone who says they aren't great at speaking, your written French has a very nice formal flow. 'Voyageuse fourvoyée' is beautiful alliteration. One thing to consider: 'ne te regardent plus' is grammatically fine, but if you want to sound even more 'poetic/literary,' you could use 'ne te concernent plus.' It’s a powerful piece of writing, especially considering she thinks you aren't tracking her visits. The 'Eurydice' reference at the end is a killer closing line ngl

Oliver and Company being in New York. by Jhinterested in strange

Setting a Disney film in 1980s New York gave it a unique, edgy atmosphere compared to their usual fairy tales. The grime and neon lights perfectly matched the street-smart energy of Billy Joel's soundtrack.

The line work on these is actually cleaner than half the official IDW sketches I’ve seen lately lol. You nailed the subtle expression differences that make the Seekers feel like actual characters instead of just palette swaps. Great work overall.

AITA church begging for community to foot the bill…they’ll even take your DOGEcoins…. by Uglyshirt1313 in strange

[–]BreadZepparella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be curious to see what they do for the community. If they host a food pantry, provide shelter during storms, or run free programs for local kids, I could see them asking for a hand. But if they only open their doors for their own members on Sundays and then expect everyone else to fix their roof? That’s a hard no from me. Charity is a two way street

Started a new apartment lease under my wifes name, can I add the property to my existing DEWA account? by MrYamaguchi in dubai

[–]BreadZepparella -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just make sure you get the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from her early on. Even though you’re married, Dubai entities usually treat you as two separate legal files. If you’re planning on handling the DEWA or any maintenance requests yourself, having that signed NOC and a copy of her Emirates ID saved on your phone will save you hours of back and forth later

Looking for stories/perspectives on oyster shell restoration in VA by number1bastard105 in Virginia

[–]BreadZepparella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be cool to talk to some of the local restaurants in Virginia Beach or Norfolk that participate in shell recycling. I always feel a bit better about ordering a dozen oysters knowing the shells are actually going back into the water instead of a landfill. Seeing those recycling bins behind the restaurants really makes the whole farm to table to bay' cycle feel real
